本课所选教材为人教版模块5第三单元的第二个reading,根据课本的编排此部分原本应设计为泛读,但通过分析觉得这个教材的内容重点很突出,文章很好地对两种外来生物mu mu 和dimpods进行了外表,能力,特点等描写,可以作为写作的范文来指导学生如何描写一种生物。
因此,把课型改为reading & writing, 以这篇文章作为写作的input来指导学生,writing作为这节课的主要任务。
我们的学生英语基础较差,在完成写作任务之前,需要设计足够的小活动小任务帮助他们在语言和写作内容方面做好准备。
因此,在本课的教学中,将充分利用任务型教学法的脚手架原则,以实现帮助学生进行语言模仿,写出一篇描写某种生物的小短文的教学目标,并让学生在学习的过程中体会到学以致用的乐趣。
在本课的导入阶段,将用自由问答的形式引出本课的话题,并请学生帮助Li Qiang描述这两个生物给他妈妈听。
预计学生也会觉得有困难或用较简单的句式,老师借此问学生他们希不希望学习漂亮点高级点的句子在他们的描述中,以激起学生学习的兴趣。
在语言输入阶段,先通过match活动检查学生是否预习好了阅读课文中的单词,再让学生快速阅读找出各段的大意,然后让学生分成两组分别找出课文中所有关于mu-mu和dimpod 的句子。
这些活动都是为了让学生感受语言,置于目标语言环境中,为后面的语言输出做准备。
语言输出阶段主要分为三部分:1)以描写mu-mu的句子为例子,帮助学生分析这些句子是从哪几个方面(appearance, eating habits, How do they move? features, abilities)来描写的,为学生做好写作内容方面的准备;2)在给出两个句子的改写例子后,让学生分组讨论,对课文里关于mu-mu和dimpod的句子进行仿写,然后进行小组竞赛复述改写好的句子,为学生做好写作前语言方面的准备,并树立学生的信心,让他们知道通过仿写他们也可以写出很好的句子;3)让学生与同桌一起设计自己的alien creature,让他们根据刚刚讨论的几个方面和改写好的句子来完成描写一个alien creature的写作任务,并为他们的描写配一副的图片。
在学生的写作过程,老师会走到有需要的学生身边给予他们个别辅导和帮助。
在写作后的评价活动中,学生将把自己的描述读给前桌或后桌的同学听,听的同学要根据所听的画出外星人,然后把图画和读的同学核对,如果图片相似小组可以加分。
然后,老师将鼓励学得好的同学把自己的文章读给全班听,让全班同学根据“内容是否完整,语言是否生动,想象力是否丰富,是否有很多的语法错误”四个方面来对同学的文章进行评价打分,根据得分
还可以再给相应的小组加分。
最后,老师总结本堂课,并布置作业,让学生把他们的描写和图片弄的更漂亮些,以形成一本空间站外来生物介绍册。
教学反思
本堂课主要根据任务型教学法的脚手架原则,从语言输入到写前准备,对学生进行层层递进的帮助,以帮助学生完成最后的写作任务。
由于学生的程度比较差,因此在句子层面的操练更多一些。
之所以选用一篇学过的文章,是因为老师对这个教材都比较熟悉,可以更多提出意见和建议,也想让专家看看对于程度较差的学生这样进行写作教学到底对不对。
如果第一次上这堂课,需要1.5节课的时间,因为观摩课的需要压缩成了一节课,因此最后的任务评价,处理得不够到位,流于形式,没有很好的体现教学目标。
