1.Listen to the dialogue and then read after the recording.Ask students to close their book and listen to the dialogue twice. Then, ask students to open their books and read the conversation. After that, go over the conversation with students together and pay attention to the bold words and expressions.

Ask students to read the ten sentences first. Then, play the recording and ask students to listen carefully to check if they have made a mistake in reading these sentences. Play the recording again. After listening to the recording, give students five minutes to read these sentences aloud. Later, ask volunteers to read in class.

【导入】Today, we are beginning to learn the intermediate level of the Speak Up. The contents of this book is a little more difficult that the basic edition. There are a lot of practical scenes which is quite similar with daily lives. As usual, it needsyou to read more, recite more, and speak more.
After going over the conversation, ask students to read the dialogue aloud. Then, ask pairs of students to read the conversation in class.
2. Do Exercise 1. Complete the dialogues with the help of the clues provided. Ask students to complete the dialogues in class individually. Then, ask volunteers to share his or her answers with the class. After that, go over the answers with students. Later, ask pairs of students to read the three dialogues.
