本节课主要内容是了解人类与大海的惊险故事。

【Analysis of learning situation】本次教学的对象来自高一（3）班，虽具备一定的阅读理解能力和语言表达能力，但总体英语基础知识薄弱，尚未养成良好的阅读习惯和写作习惯。

So I tied myself to a barrel to help me float. I tried to make my brother understand, but he was too frightened and stayed in the heavy boat. Without waiting, I jumped into the sea to try and escape.As you can see, the reason why I'm here to tell the story is that I made the right decision. Some time after I left the boat, with my brother in it, it was pulled into the bottom of the whirlpool. Soon after that, the whirlpool became less wild . Lesson 1 A sea story是节选自19世纪美国诗人、小说家和文学评论家，美国浪漫主义思潮时期的重要成员埃德加·艾伦·坡(Edgar Allan Poe)(1809~1849)，于1841年发表的短篇小说《莫斯肯漩涡沉浮记》，本课讲述了一个渔夫如何经历莫斯肯漩涡并生存下来的奇幻故事。

本单元的主题是“人与自然“，在大自然面前人类的力量是渺小的，但是如果我们勇于面对灾难并能找到其内在的规律，我们还是能战胜自然的，这也是本文的这个故事想要告诉我们。

Lesson 2 Professional rescue team。

本课包含两段听力材料:第一段材料主要介绍了我国的专业救援队，第二段对话主要介绍专家给与得自救指导。
