拼读规则就是从单词的拼写形式判断其读音的规则。
英语的拼写情况比较复杂。
一个字母或一种拼写形式往往代表几种读音,而一种读音又往往由不同的字母或不同的拼写形式来表示。
但是,英语的拼写形式和读音之间还是有规则可循的。
因此,教学英语单词的读音和拼法,要借助于拼读规则,也要借助于国际音标,这样,才能逐渐掌握英语单词的读音和拼写形式的特点,以及二者之间的关系。
拼读规则既多且繁,而规则也都有例外的情况。
对于初学者,只能学一些基本的,最常见的规则,以帮助我们起步。
拼写问题,只有经过长期的训练才能得到解决。
音节英语单词是由字母组成的。
字母构成音节。
有的词只包含一个音节,有的词包含两个、三个或更多的音节,分别称为单音节词、双音节词和多音节词。
单音节词单独存在的时候,一般都是重读的。
双音节词和多音节词一般只有一个音节是重读的。
多音节词除重读音节之外,有时还有一个次重读音节。
音节的核心是元音,由一个或几个元音字母代表。
在26个字母中,有5个元音字母,分别为a,e,i,o,u。
少数辅音字母,如l,m,n,也可构成非重读音节。
一个音节里可以只有一个元音字母而没有其他的字母,如I,a。
元音字母的前面或后面可以有一个或两个辅音字母,或前后都有辅音字母。

开音节1. 以一个元音字母为结尾的重读音节,称为开音节(或称绝对开音节)。
这个元音字母读它在字母表中的音,即所谓“长音”。
