一、教学内容 Warming Up (p. 17); Reading and speaking (p. 22); Speaking (p. 23)

二、教学目标

1. 让学生能够理解西方的幽默故事和笑话，找到其中的关键语（punchline）。

2. 能够用简单的语言解释西方幽默中的双关语（pun）。

3. 能够将简单的西方幽默故事编成对话，表演出来。

4. 能够简单评论所读的幽默故事或所看到的幽默表演。

三、教学步骤

步骤一 回顾与热身

1. 给学生展示两幅照片（卓别林、豆子先生），让学生回顾已经学过的一种英语幽默形式nonverbal，继而引起学生思考英语幽默的另一种形式verbal humour。

2. 采用brainstorming的方式，让学生思考 verbal humour的不同形式。

设计意图：学生在主课文里学到了卓别林的幽默（nonverbal humour）后，对于英语幽默有了一定的认识，但还不够深入。而言语幽默更能体现中英两种语言的差别，也是中国学生最不易理解的。通过第二步，让学生了解nonverbal humour的几种具体形式。 I. Warming Up1.Charlie Chaplin was a master of
