一、设计思想：

激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣，发挥自主学习和合作的精神。创设情景学习新单词，在操练环节中巩固新单词，让学生逐步学会听、说、读、写新单词的能力。

二、教材分析：

1、《课程标准》对本课教学内容的要求是：能够听、说、读、写8个新词，并能在上下文中理解其意思；能听懂问句：Who’s your art teacher ? What’s he like ?并能做出正确回答。

2、本课时的教学内容包括：Let’s chant、Let’s start、A Let’s learn、Let’s find out。Let’s chant能激发学生学习新课的兴趣；Let’s start 可以自然地引出一些新词，把其作为新词教学的铺垫；A Let’s lean 中新句型的初次学习为

A Let’s talk 、A Read and write做好教学铺垫；Let’s find out 巩固了所学新词。

3、本课内容与新课标七所级下册Unit7相比较，核心话题都是谈论人的外表形象。本课需掌握的句型是：What’s he/she like?而初中相关内容需掌握的是其同义句:What do/does sb. look like?本课要求学生学会谈论人的身高、体重、面部特征，而初中相关内容除了让学生描述以上这些，还从发型、着装等细节方面去描述人物。

三、学情分析：

1、学生在三年级下册第六单元中的Let’s do已经学过单词 tall、short。在四年级上册第三单元也学过句型：I have a new friend.He’s tall. He’s strong,too.本节课引导学生复习strong、tall、thin、short等单词，并提高要求，达到听、说、读、写的能力。本班学生大多数活泼外向，具有很强的自我表现意识和竞争意识。从学生这一特点出发，我力求让学生充分参与课堂活动，满足了他们的表现欲。本班的教学对象是农村学生，英语基础比较薄弱。他们除了在课堂上接触英语外，课后很少接触有关英语的事物。虽然他们对英语课很感兴趣，但让他们脱口讲英语是非常困难的。从这一实际出发，我创设了情境教学，力求让学生用英语会话，在操练环节中给学生提供口语练习的机会，有力地帮助学生提高口语表达能力。

活动三 听力练习

教学参考时间：3分钟

（1） 教师出示Let’s try 中的内容，请学生自己朗读词组。
