继Unit 5 I’m watching TV 再次出现现在进行时,是上一单元的延续。
比较上一单元,本单元增设了一个日常生活中重要的话题Talking about the weather。
学生要会运用这一时态描述在各种天气情况下人的活动。
以及表达对某种天气的喜好及原因。
二.教学课题本课为人教版新目标七年级下册Unit 6 It’s raining 中的Section B部分的第一课时.在Unit 5学生已经接触到现在进行时,在Section A部分以已学会用sunny, rainy, windy, snowy, cloudy这几个表天气的形容词来描述天气情况。
在本课时将进一步学习描述天气,及描述天气的词warm, humid,hot, cool, cold。
以及能够表达对某种天气的喜好并能说明原因。
还要能够描述在不同的天气情况下人们会干什么。

结合本节课教学内容,运用图片和Harry Potter is coming!的游戏,复习Section A的现在进行时和“How’s the weather?”。
让学生在轻松愉快的气氛中复习学过的知识,同时为本节课的进一步学习作铺垫。
然后通过一年四季的天气特点引出本课生词warm, humid hot, cool, cold,再通过Chant巩固。
本节课的难点是听力。
在听之前,对听力材料的背景做一定的介绍,以降低听力难度;听完后,就表格内容进行Role play,加深对重点内容的理解和掌握;最后,再将听力材料的对话改为短文的形式,留出重点词汇,让学生填空,检测对听力材料的掌握情况。
