它的编写主要是要遵从学生的学习规律,重视学生的身心和个性发展,培养学生自主学习和动手的能力。
同时,本教材的内容紧扣学生的日常生活,实用性很强。
本教材有很多的亮点,其中Project板块是重在培养学生的听、说、读、写能力的一种综合开放性的自主学习和动手能力的学习板块。
一、《牛津高中英语》教材Project板块的设计1.Project板块设计的优点《牛津高中英语》教材与其他的英语教材相比较,Project板块的设计项目在其他英语教材中没有得到体现,这个部分对于培养学生的自主学习能力和实践能力来说是很有实用性。
以module4的Project板块为例,在module4Unit1中Project要求学生制作课外广告的活动,Unit2中Project要求学生写有关运动的演讲,Unit3中Project则是要求学生写科幻故事,这些在其他英语教材中不曾被设计。
除了module4中Unit1-Unit3的Projects以外,其他模块中的Project板块也集中了许多学生课内外开放性的探究性任务的活动,例如成对地进行对话活动、正反方辩论、访谈报告和简单的问卷调查等。
Project板块这部分的设计符合新课程标准,与当前社会发展需要也是相适应的,符合多元化信息时代社会的需要,有助于开发学生的智力和塑造良好的性格和品格,培养坚强的意志有着很重要的意义和影响。
2.Project板块的设计编排特点Project板块分为两个部分。
A部分是阅读,B部分是范例或是引发课题内容。
B部分为“4P”包括Planning、Preparing、Producing 和Presenting。
Planning部分是学生在教师的指导下确定主题,安排分工的工作。
Preparing部分是要求学生查找资料、收集信息和讨论主题。
