My Freshman Year Gain
My freshman year was a vital period of my college life. During this year, I gained not only precious social experiences, but also learned many lessons that I should keep firmly in mind.
Participating in various association activities benefited me a lot. For example, after I participated in the Student Union, I tried my best to be competent for this job: first, I changed my own personality and tried to be more active and friendly. Thanks to these changes, I made friends with more people and did my job effectively. I also acquired many new techniques to get along with others better and to to manage a group successfully. Then, because this job was aimed at serving students, I formed a good habit of doing useful things for the sake of others. All of these experiences were beneficial for me.
Something I did improperly also gave me many lessons. A case in point was that I spent so much time on those club activities that I did not have enough time to study . As a result, I did not get grades as good as I had expected. It was very necessary for me to study harder this semester.
My freshman year was unforgettable. Whether it is exciting or distressing, it is a good memory for me. (215words)
