Although the limits shown for each mounting option comply with the National Electrical code (NEC), Wheelock recommends use of the largest back-box option and the use of approved stranded field wires whenever possible, to provide additional wiring room for easy installation and minimum stress on the product from wiring.Caution: Check that the installed product will have sufficient clearance and wiring room prior to installing backboxes and conduit, especially if sheathed multi-conductor cable or 3/4” conduit fittings are used.1. Mounting hardware for each mounting option is supplied.2. Conduit entrances to the backbox should be selected to provide sufficient wiring clearance for the installed product. When extension rings are required, con-duit should enter through thebackbox, not the extension ring. Use Steel City #53151 (1-1/2” deep) or #53171 (2-1/8” deep) extension rings (as noted in the mounting options) or equal with the same cut-out area.3. When terminating field wires, do not use more lead length than required. Excess lead length could result in insufficient wiring space for the appliance.4. Use care and proper techniques to position the field wires in the backbox so that they use minimum space and produce minimum stress on the product. This is especially important for stiff, heavy gauge wires and wires with thick insulation or sheathing.5. Do not pass additional wires (used for other than the appliance) through the backbox “unless the backbox is of a sufficient size to permit additional wiring as described in NEC 314.16 (B)”.Such additional wires could result in insufficient wiring space for the appliance.ote: N Due to continuous development of our products, specifications and offerings are subject to change without notice in accordance with Eaton standard terms and conditions.© 2022 EatonAll Rights Reserved Printed in USAPublication No. TD450028EN September 2022Eaton is a registered trademark. All other trademarks are property of their respective owners.Eaton1000 Eaton Boulevard Cleveland, OH 44122United States Life safety & mss notification solutions 273 Branchport Ave.Long Branch, NJ 07740Eaton.oom/LifesafetynotificationMounting AccessoriesTechnical Data TD450028ENEffective June 2022。

The MSC Series is a range of AC electrolytic capacitors. These capacitors are most often used to provide the torque necessary to start AC motors and in other intermit-tent AC applications.FEATURES:Two .250” Quick Connect terminalsRound moisture and oil resistant plastic case110VAC to 330VACQuick disconnect terminalsRecessed terminalsLong life and high reliabilityRATINGSCapacitance Range:110/125 Volts − 21F to 2160F165 Volts − 108F to 708F220/250 Volts − 21F to 850F330 Volts − 21F to 552F PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATIONSOperating Temperature Range: −40 to +65CPower Factor: 10% Max.; 12% 30FOperating Frequency: 47 − 60Hz MOUNTINGVertical mounting of the capacitor with the terminals up is recommended. However, horizontal mounting is acceptable providing the vent is located in the up posi-tion. Vertical mounting with the terminals down is not recommended because the capacitor life may be re-duced and the operation of the pressure relief vent im-paired.CLEANINGSolvent residues on the capacitors after cleaning may penetrate the seal and cause internal corrosion result-ing in shortened life. Alcohol or water detergent clean-ing is not usually harmful but halogenated cleaning solvents are not recommended and should be avoided.SAFETYBecause the watt−second value of these capacitors is high, precautions should be taken during the testing of these devices.Discharge resistors should be specified when there isa possibility of a residual charge left on the capacitoror to protect contacts. Mis−application, such as ex-ceeding design limits or applying continuous AC volt-age, may result in destruction or explosion of capaci-tors.ORDERING INFORMATIONMSC125V21 SeriesVoltageCapacitance62NTE Electronics, Inc.
