Write your essay on ANSWER SHEET 2. (15 points)Part A modelMy dear friend,Thank you very much for receiving me, a delegate of Sino-America cultural exchange program, during my visit to America. Your considerate and warm reception made me feel at home. You kindly provided detailed explanation of American custom, assisting me to get over culture shock soon and, more importantly, have deeper understanding of American culture. I had a great time there, and I really appreciate everything you have done for me.Additionally, I highly welcome you to come to China in due course so that I can reciprocate your hospitality. I promise you a fantastic visit, through which you may gain a deep insight into Chinese culture. Look forward to your visit.Yours sincerely,Zhang WeiPart B modelAs is shown in the chart, mobile-phone subscriptions grow rapidly from 2000 to 2008. We can also find out that developing countries are the driving force for such a rapid growth. According to the chart, mobile-phone subscription number increased to 8 times from 2000 to 2008, that is from around 0.5 billion to 4 billion, while that of developed countries only increased twice from around 0.5 billion to 1 billion.I think there are two main reasons for such a great contrast. First of all, developing countries have much larger population than developed countries. For example, China and India nearly have half of the total population of the world. China has the most mobile-phone users right now, which increased greatly from 2000 to 2008. It is the same in India and other developing countries. Secondly, developing countries have been enjoying strong economic growth in recent years. As a result, people in most developing countries are richer and richer, especially in China. So they can afford to buy such necessities, including mobile phones, as the prices continued to drop greatly in the past years. Thus, we can conclude that as economy grows strongly in developing countries, people in these countries can buy such products. 1Grasping the knowledge of those youngsters with naïve faces raising their hands high and expecting to inform their teachers of their novel answers from the picture, I could not help envying them, since our childhood was considerably different from theirs.Once we entered the primary school, we were instructed by teachers to keep both our hands on our backs and were forbidden to talk or move hands freely when they were speaking, which led to our uneasiness in class and deprived us of similar smiles on the picture. The divergence, I believe, should be attributed to the different educational system and concept between China and western countries. While they are encouraged to give full play to their creativity and curiosity, not willing to learn and instilled with a large amount of knowledge in order to obtain the admission letters from established universities and companies. Thus we are cultivated into identical “top-students” instead of creative individuals. Therefore, I eventually conclude that the next generation of our nation should be granted with more freedom to fully tap their potential and become all-round people.范文2As we all can see, the lovely students in the picture are so active that they all put their hands high, hoping to express their own opinions. It is obvious that the atmosphere is relaxing and everyone enjoys it. That’s great, isn’t it?The picture also reminds me of the time when I was a fresh student who was too shy to speak in public. Just like me, during my class, our classmates just listened to class, and everyone was watching me! I even prayed that my name would never come to my teacher’s mind. But as time goes by, I grow up, so as my mind. I realized that the situation show in the picture was far better. Children are all curious about everything, and knowledge will only be acquired by an inquiring mind. Those who dare not to speak out will never know anything new. The childhood without asking is not a real childhood. We should also keep the curiosity now, and forever. That will benefit you in the rest of your life.范文3From the picture, it can be easily seen that four primary students are raising their hands to answer the questions. So happy and excited are they that I see their eagerness for knowledge, which is powerful in all our life. Therefore, unlimited as knowledge is, we should keep our enthusiasm to learn. When it comes to my first day in my primary school, I felt curious about everything. When my teacher asked questions, all of us raised our hands including some to answer them …wonderful moments in my life because although we were little kids, we carried our passion for learning new knowledge, which is beautiful and mysterious in our hearts. We were just like the children in the picture, active and creative. It was at that time that knowledge appealed to me.Just as Bacon wrote in 1597, knowledge is power. I reckon that all of us should keep out enthusiasm to explore in the known and unknown worlds. Time-consuming and painstaking as it might be, nothing can stop a willing and curious heart. Only by living knowledge can we strive to learn. And only by gaining more knowledge can we become powerful, thus achieving our success and living out our values! There is no one but can resist the charm of knowledge, just like these students. Having an active heart and persevering in learning, the day we succeed will surely come!范文4When I first saw the picture, I was deeply moved. In the picture, foreign pupils are having a lesson. Although they have just entered the elementary school, they are quite outgoing and energetic. They all raise their hands and want to take an active part in the lesson. The smile wearing on their faces indicates the confidence in their heart. I am moved by their enthusiastic attitude towards study, school life and even future. However, it reminds me of my personal experience when I was at their age. Since I was a Chinese pupil, I as well as others was required to obey the strict rules of school. We sat quietly or even silently in the classroom and listened to the teacher’s words. There were not many live discussions and the “teacher talking, students listening” was the most common pattern.I am shocked by such astonishing differences between Chinese education and foreign education. However, I gradually realize that the key factor leading to the difference lies in the culture background. Both of them have their advantages and shortcomings. Students like me who belong to Chinese classroom can learn to develop a sense of obeying rules which is essential for us to be good citizens. However less involvement in class may make students less creative. On the other hand, those pupils in the picture enjoy a relatively more open atmosphere and they can express and learn freely and actively. But their sense of obeying rules becomes weak. So, in my opinion, as both coins have two sides, the two kinds of education can learn from each other to come up with a better one. And this can be beneficial to both the development of students and the communication between cultures.范文5Holding their hands up, smiling confidently to the teacher and being eager to answer the question, nowadays the new primary students seem to consider a class as an excited adventure.Their shinning eyes are like sweet blossoms which remind me of my golden days in the primary school. Compared with their active attitude, I was always so shy that I tried my best to hide my ideas. Praying not to be chosen to answer the question, worrying about the likely embarrassment, I filled my class time with anxiety. However, with time gone without trace or sound, I gradually realize what precious treasures I have lost. I gave up my confidence which was able to lead me to the paradise of success; I missed valuable experience which could lit the ragged road to the future; I also rejected my right to make mistakes as well as to be corrected. As the saying goes, what we must conquer are not rocky mountains but ourselves. Mistakes are not our opponents, instead they equip us with courage, wisdom and lessons. Do not be afraid to face difficulties, bear it in mind that they train us for the better and that only with the belief in ourselves can we embrace the beauty of life!Thank you, my dear angels. You bring confidence, smiles and positive attitudes towards life back to me. I hope that you can keep smiling to whatever you may face in the future. I hope that I can hold my hand up like you the next time!。

2010The column chart on mobile-phone subscriptions above shows a striking contrast between those developing countries and developed countries in the past decade. Since 2004, people in growing numbers in developing countries use mobile phone, while those in developed countries far lag behind. By 2008, there are 4 billion mobile-phone users in developing countries, which is 3 times more than that in developed countries. Two reasons may contribute to the contrast above. On the one hand, with the rapid increase in economy of developing countries, the telecommunication industry there surges to meet the demand of globalization. Therefore, mobile phone users grows at an incredible speed. On the other hand, developed countries had reached a state of prosperity in economy, and created less rooms for further developments in mobile subscriptions. Maybe that is the reason why the number mobile phone users in the developed countries keep even over the last decade. To sum up, mobile phone is convenient for interpersonal communications, and gradually become the indispensable tools in people's life. When enjoying the convenience of cell phones, we shouldalso keep an eye on the negative effects it mi ght bring to our environment. Only in this way can people in developing countries see a sustainable grow in telecommunications.Dear Jack:I would like to convey my heartfelt thanks to you for your warm reception when I participated in the exchange program in your country.Your generous help made it possible for me to have a very pleasant stay and a chance to know American culture better. Besides, I think it is a great honor for me to make friends with you and I will cherish the goodwill you showed to me wherever I go. I do hope that you can visit China someday, so that I could have the opportunity to repay your kindness and refresh our friendship.I feel obliged to thank you again.Sincerely Yours,Zhang Wei2011This bar chart indicates different market shares of automobiles of three types of brand affiliations between 2008 and 2009.In 2008, cars with Japanese brands topped the three types of vehicles, accounting for 35% of the total market. What follows is the cars with Chinese brands, hitting 25% of the auto market, with the share of American brand bottomed out at 15%. In 2009, some developments are noticeable in that the cars with the largest share bec ame those of Chinese brands, which occupied roughly 32% of the market, while cars with Japanese and American brands took 25% and 15% of the whole market respectively. It is observed that between 2008 and 2009, cars of Chinese and Japanese brands took turns to be the No.1 in terms of market share while those with American brands ranked the last in both years. And the share of Chinese-brand cars witnessed a mild increase and that of the Japanese-brand cars saw a moderate decrease, while the American-brand cars stayed the same. From this graph, we can come to the safe conclusion that the Chinese automakers are doing a good job in outcompeting their Japanese and American counterparts in 2009, but the gap is not sosignificant and if no efforts were made from the part of the Chinese auto industry, the distribution map might be rewritten in the future.Dear Li Ming,Congratulations on your admittance to the University you have dreamed about! I’m absolutely delighted to learn that you have just been admitted to Stanford University. I know there was fierce competition this year but your diligence and perseverance definitely paid off.I´d like to offer you several proposals on how to prepare for your university life. Above all, I do recommend you to take advantage of the library in your university by reading books beside the normal curriculum. In addition, I believe that you may spare your free-time for three main activities: building your body, expanding your knowledge, and communicating with friends and family.I wish you further success in future and hope you will invite me to your graduation ceremony four years later.Yours faithfully,Zhang Wei2012The table above revealed an overall picture of job satisfaction among employment of different age groups. Based upon the data of the table, most people under 40 are unclear or dissatisfied with their job, and 64% of those between 40 and 50 are not satisfied. For people over 50, the degree of satisfaction largely exceeds the younger groups under 40, amounting to 40%.The phenomenon that elder people find more pleasure in job compared with the young may be rooted in the following reasons. First, people between 30 and 50 face more pressure to support the fa mi ly, both the children and the senior, so that they neglect to enjoy in work. Second, the senior citizens have developed a lot in personality, so they are more prone to see the optimistic aspects of the work. Last, the current family pattern of “one family one Child”cause the aging of the society, which has posed more social responsibility to people under 50.To sum up, the senior citizens enjoys more content than the young people. In order to improve this situation, and make life of those whoare between 40s and 50s easier, the authorities, relevant departments and certain enterprises, should adopt some measures to increase salaries and perfect welfare system. What’s more, adults under 40 themselves should also treat their work with a positive and proper attitude and spare more time on physical practice after long-hour work. Only in this way can we assure that as many people as possible will live a contented life.Dear Sir or Madam,I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the electronic dictionary that I bought from your on-line store last week, with the invoice number of ED53407.I have to complain about the poor quality of the dictionary. For one thing, the dictionary often automatically turns off at the very moment I am eager to see the word explanations. For another, it seems loose in the conjunction part. The screen part can not be properly settled.Since the problems are unaccepted to me, I would like to get a refund or a new dictionary that can work well. Your prompt response will be highly appreciated.Yours sincerely,Zhang Wei2013What can be seen from the chart is the proportion change of students having part-time jobs during the four years’college study. The proportion increases slightly from the first year to the third year, however, the fourth year has witnessed a dramatic increase, surging to 88.24%.There is no denying the fact that this trend is very pervasive in current colleges and, to some extent, quite proper. It is not difficult to come up with some possible factors accounting for this trend. To begin with, the major jobs of freshman and sophomore are to study, and to lay a solid foundation for their future work. What’s more, when students are going to step out of school and enter into society, they have to master lots of practical skills, for example, how to deal with challenges outside, so they have to take part in some part-time jobs. Apparently, doing part time job has many advantages. On the one hand, students can learn how to get along well with others and know the society more profoundly. On the other hand, to take a part-time jobprovides students with a valuable opportunity to put what they have learned from books into practice and make some money, which helps to reduce their fa mi lies’financial burden.Due to the analysis above, this trend will continue for quite a while in the future. And it should be pointed out that study is the major task for college students though work experience is valuable. Students have to strike a balance between study and part-time job.Dear classmates,I am writing this letter to inform that our class is going to hold a charity sale for the needy children in rural area of our province who have dropped out of school because their parents cannot afford their education. This activity will be held on our school’s playground on next Monday, January 22.It is universally acknowledged that children are regarded as flowers and future of our nation; however, because of poverty, a growing number of kids in remote villages lost their learning opportunities which are not only crucial for their personal growth, but also essential for the sound development of the whole society. Consequently, there isno doubt that it is a noble cause to donate money to needy children through charity sale.I really appeal to all the students to take part in this event and I will be grateful if you could come and give your donation.Yours sincerely,Li Ming2014What is clearly presented in the above chart is the different numbers of urban residents and rural population among 1990,2000 and 2010.The number of urban residents climbed steadily from 300 mi llion in 1990 to 660 million or so in 2010,while rural population decreased slightly from about 820 million to 680 million or so in the same period. It is not difficult to come up with some possible factors accounting for this trend. On the one hand, with the rapid development of economy and society, people in mounting numbers crowd into cities in search of employment, a decent living and the excitement of urban life recently. On the other hand, the economy in the rural districts is comparative less developed and thus the opportunity to make moneyand pursue their future is as well lean. As a result, an increasing number of folks are trying to escape this destiny by flocking into the urban areas.Given the analyses above, I firmly believe that such established trend will surely continue for quite a while in the forthcoming years and due importance should be attached to this evident situation.Dear John,I am Li Ming who will go to study in your university and live together with you in one department. Now I am writing this letter to tell you some of my habits and ask you for some suggestions to adapt myself there. To begin with, I usually get up early in the morning at six o’clock and then go out to do some exercise. To continue, I would like to spend my spare time in reading in the library. Meanwhile, I wonder if you could be so kind to offer me some proposals on how to get used to the life there.I am looking forward to seeing you soon and wish everything goes well.Yours sincerely,Li Ming2015As is clearly reflected in the above pie chart, the proportion of money spent on various affairs demonstrates obvious differences during the Spring Festival in one city of China. According to the data given, the money spent on buying gifts for others takes a lion’s share, accounting for 40%. While transportation takes away 20% of the whole proportion. What triggers this phenomenon? It is not difficult to put forward several factors responsible for this phenomenon. To start with, with the ever-growing eagerness to keep up with others, oceans of folks intended to offer thicker and thicker red envelope to kids as gift money, which leads to the high proportion of our expenditure. What’s more, due to the great urbanization, most Chinese residents move from their hometowns to work in big cities. In order to cover the long distance and enjoy the happy together with fa mi ly mem bers, a large amount of money is spent on transportation. In view of the arguments above, we can conclude that the current phenomenon is of no surprise. And therefore, it can be predicted that buying gifts and transportation will still take up a large share in our expenditure during the Spring Festival.Volunteers NeededJune 1, 2015In order to improve high school students’abilities and to enrich their after-class activities, our university is going to hold a summer camp in our campus during this summer vacation. These high school students will be involved in various activities, including taking part in speeches and debates, attending group discussions, and so on. First of all, a variety of activities organized by us could show their outstanding abilities and to help them develop a range of practical skills. What is more, their active participation helps in strengthening the sense of responsibility and developing interpersonal relationship. Those who are interested in being volunteers may sign up with the monitor of their class before June 10, 2015. Come and join us now. (119 words)The Students´Union2016This pie chart clearly illustrates the purposes of students’touring in a certain university. As is reflected by the diagram, 37 percent of college students travel in a bid to appreciating the scenery, next comes the aim of relieving pressure, accounting for 33% percent. By contrast, the percentage of students travelling aiming at others, making friends and cultivating independence account for 15%, 9% and 6% respectively.Several primary factors could contribute to this phenomenon. In the first place, travel can offer us a wide range of experiences. In travelling, we may join tourists marveling at the incredible power of Niagara Falls, mingle with the happy throngs strolling in the Paris boulevards and experience the bitterness and joy of people on different lands and in different times. In the second place, college students, who have to juggle academic work, romantic relationships and a busy socialcalendar, are particularly susceptible to pressure. By touring, they can successfully manage and reduce stress.Taking all these factors into consideration, we may predict that with the quickening pace of campus life and ever-increasing pressure, the number of university students touring will keep growing in the forthcoming decade.Dear Jack,Thanks for your congratulation! Since you asked for advice on translation, I’d like to offer several conducive proposals as follows.First of all, while quite a number of students think they’re forced to learn translation——merely for English test, you should learn it for some other purposes like the usefulness other than examination itself. What is more, for purpose of becoming an outstanding translator, it is vital to not only appreciate the beauty and perfection of the language and literature in both English and Chinese, but also arouse your great interest in exploring something deeper in this field.I’m sure you’ll be an excellent translator. Looking forward to your reply!Yours,Li Ming2017The statistics about museums and their visitors are precisely illustrated by the line chart. During the 3 years from 2013 to 2015, the figure of museums experienced a gradual rise, and soaring from 4.145 thousand to 4.692 thousand. Besides, following the same tendency, the number of museum visitors, as is shown, ascended gradually from 6.378 billion to 7.811 billion, increasing by about 1.43 billion. The following factors, from my perspective, are responsible for the statistics. To begin with, aside from disseminating knowledge in schools, department concerned adopts other ways to promote the comprehensive quality of Chinese citizens, for instance providing more access to museums is a simple yet effective way to broaden visitors’horizon. In addition, having been experiencing the unparalleled material prosperity, most of Chinese citizens intend to pursue knowledge by visiting museums, tourist attractions and other places. Moreover, museums, which are supported by public funding, provide visitors withknowledge and professional service. Individuals, therefore, are inclined to enjoy their leisure time by visiting museums. To summarize, the data shown by the chart objectively reflect what’s happening in our society. Museums undoubtedly exert indispensible effects on our society and Chinese citizens, and it is predictable that, in the next decade, both large cities and small towns will witness the popularization of museums.Dear Professor Williams,It is my honor to receive your invitation to give presentation about Chinese culture to international students. And I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude and provide the specific information about my presentation, which is about the brief introduction of Confucianism, the dominant philosophy of oriental culture. To begin with, the first part of my presentation is the brief introduction to Master Confucius and the Analects of Confucius. Relevant background about Spring and Autumn warring state period will also be introduced. In addition, the second part is about etiquette, one of the cores of Confucianism, which stabilized ancient Chinese society. Moreover, I would like to upload the e-book of English versionof the Analects of Confucius to the official website of our university, so that the audience will be fully prepared.Thank you for your invitation, and I wish my presentation will be appreciated by the audience.Yours sincerely,Li Ming。

As an AI, I can't actually write an essay for you, but I can certainly help you brainstorm ideas and provide a structure for a 2010 English high school entrance examination essay. Here's a hypothetical prompt and a structured response:Prompt:Write an essay on the topic: "The Role of Technology in Modern Education."Introduction:- Hook: Begin with a thought-provoking statement about the impact of technology on education.- Thesis statement: Clearly state your opinion on the role of technology in modern education.Body Paragraph 1:- Topic sentence: Introduce the first point, such as the accessibility of information.- Explanation: Elaborate on how the internet and digital resources have made learning materials more accessible.- Example: Provide an example of a specific educational technology, such as online libraries or MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses).Body Paragraph 2:- Topic sentence: Introduce the second point, such as the interactive nature of technology.- Explanation: Discuss how interactive tools like educational apps and software can engage students more effectively.- Example: Mention a specific tool or software that has been successful in enhancing classroom interaction.Body Paragraph 3:- Topic sentence: Introduce the third point, such as the challenges technology presents.- Explanation: Address the potential drawbacks, like digital divide or over-reliance on technology.- Counterargument: Briefly acknowledge the other side of the argument and explain why you still believe technology is beneficial.Conclusion:- Restate thesis: Summarize your main points without repeating them verbatim.- Final thoughts: End with a call to action or a thought that encourages further reflection on the role of technology in education.Sample Essay:The Role of Technology in Modern EducationIn the 21st century, technology has become an integral part of our daily lives, and its influence on education is undeniable. The integration of technology into classrooms has revolutionized the way students learn and teachers teach.Accessibility of InformationThe first major advantage of technology in education is the accessibility of information. With the internet, students can access a wealth of knowledge at their fingertips. Online libraries and databases provide a vast array of resourcesthat were previously unavailable. For example, MOOCs offer courses from top universities around the world, making high-quality education accessible to anyone with an internet connection.Interactive LearningAnother benefit of technology is its interactive nature. Educational apps and software have been designed to engage students in a way that traditional textbooks cannot. These tools often incorporate multimedia elements such as videos, animations, and interactive quizzes, which can make learning more enjoyable and effective. For instance, language learning apps like Duolingo have helped millions of people learn new languages through gamification and interactive exercises.Challenges and ConsiderationsHowever, technology also presents challenges. The digital divide, where some students have access to technology and others do not, can exacerbate educational inequalities. Additionally, there is a risk of over-reliance on technology, which could lead to a decrease in critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Despite these concerns, the benefits of technology in education far outweigh the drawbacks when used responsibly.ConclusionIn conclusion, technology plays a crucial role in modern education by providing access to information, enhancing interactivity, and offering new ways to engage students. While challenges exist, the potential for technology to transform education is immense. It is up to educators and policymakers to ensure that technology is used in a way that benefits all students and enriches the learning experience.Note: The essay above is a hypothetical example and does not reflect the actual content of a 2010 English high school entrance examination essay.。

Just randomly, ask a student on campus what he or she is busy doing, quite possibly, you may get the answer that he or she is preparing for a certificate of some kind. Why does this craze appear? There are two mainly reasons behind this phenomenon. First, it is the employments pressure that forces college students to get more certificates. With the admission expansion of colleges, a large more graduates have to face the fiercecompetition in the job markets. How can one make himself more competitive, more certificates at hands maybe. Second, the diplomas and certificates are still important standard by which many employers measure a person’s ability in order to increase qualification for a job, the students compel themselves to run from one exam to another.Form my point of view, we should be more rational when it comes to certificates, since certificates do not necessarily prove one’s ability, being crazy in getting certificates blindly. It is nothing but wasting time. To conclude, we should focus on improving our ability but not getting a certificate of no practical value.2010年6月大学英语四级范文背诵(04)How to deal with peer pressure?College students are often obsessedby peer pressure from their classmates or schoolmates. Facing others’ hard work and good performance in academic and other aspects, many students feel great pressure. Then, how to deal with this kind of peer pressure? The following measures can be taken.First, you should take a careful look at your present level and set a practical object. You needn’t always compare yourselves with those on the top and just make your efforts towards your object.Second, under peer pressure, you shouldn’t feel discouraged and pressed. Instead, you should make it your motivation for harder work. Finally, if you find pressure is nearly beyond your control, you’d better turn to professional psychological guidance. As a college student, I have no way to avoid peer pressure, so I try to figure out the way to do with it well. I set my own goal, including my practical level and my position among the peers. Because of my focus on my own goal, I have no time and energy to think about the pressure. So I’m little troubled by it.To conclude, we should not escape from peer pressure, but learn to make best use of it, since it can hardly be avoided.2010年6月大学英语四级范文背诵(05)Opening Psychological Courses1. Recently more and more educator and common citizens suggest that universities colleges open more courses which are helpful forstudents' psychological health. Personally, Ifully agree with their proposal for the following reasons. On the one hand, the ever-increasing pressure of study at the moment andjob-hunting in the future may lead to many psychological problems such as anxiety, depression and even despair, and the psychological courses open a door for communication and relaxation. On the other hand, such courses can teach students how to regulate feelings and emotions under different situations, which is a good preparation for the future life in the complex social network. Finally, these courses also introduce good habits which are conducive to mental and psychological health. To be mature and qualified citizens in the society, students have to do more than study hard.In a word, I warmly welcome the establishment of psychological courses inuniversities. In my mind, they are good for students' psychological development.2010年6月大学英语四级范文背诵(06)Advantages and Disadvantages of Electronic Dictionary1. The discussion about electronic dictionaries has never stopped in the past few years. Let's have a look at its advantages and disadvantages before drawing the final conclusion. The biggest advantage of an electronic dictionary is its convenience. Whenever you meet new words or expressions, you can know the meaning quickly. What's more, with the development of science and technology, electronic dictionaries are becoming more and more advanced: they can pronounce the words clearly, provide sample sentences to illustrate word usage and store difficult words for special memorization. Last but by no means the least, electronic dictionaries are becoming cheaper and cheaper, and more and more students can afford them. However, the negative effects are also obvious. To begin with, some students rely too much on the electronic dictionary—they never put their heart into learning new words and expressions. In the second place, some explanations are neither complete nor accurate, which are quite misleading. Finally, new technical inventions do not necessarily lead to progress in learning. Diligence is always the decisive factor, because "there is no royal road to learning".Up until now, we can see it clearly that an electronic dictionary is not beneficial or harmfulin itself. The key lies in the user—so long as we can make proper use of it, it can be most helpful to us in many respects.2010年6月大学英语四级范文背诵(07)Teenagers' Studying Abroad1. Recently it seems that among the students who choose to study abroad, there are more and more-teenagers who study in high schools or even elementary schools. Many people, especially the parents, think it will certainly do good to their chidren because the independent life will make them learn confidence and perseverance. Moreover, the quality of overseas education is often higher, thus the child stands abetter chance of entering a better university and getting a better job in the future. After careful consideration, I have to say the above view is more than biased. On the one hand, early independent life is not necessarily good, if the child cannot receive proper guidance and tender care from both teachers and parents. On the other hand, the educational quality is also a question—too many foreign schools aim at earning money. When the children come back, who can guarantee that they can adapt to the fierce competition here?We can see clearly that although teenagers' studying abroad may bring favorable results, there are still a lot to worry about. It seems necessary for young students to make a careful investigation before going abroad.2010年6月大学英语四级范文背诵(08)How to Eliminate Cheating on Campus1. Nowadays. instead of listening attentively in class and working hard after class, a number of students adopt all kinds of dishonest methods to get high scores in examinations. It has become such a serious problem that it has aroused the concern from the whole society. To put an end to such a serious problem, in my mind., it calls for the efforts from all sides. First of all, the university authority should make it clear that any cheating behaviors in the examinations, from whispering and copying, receiving answers via mobile phones to asking ringers for help, will be severely punished with no exception. Moreover, teachers of all subjects should go all the way to restore honesty by setting an example for the youth through speaking sincerely and behaving truthfully. Lastbut not least, young students, the future of our nation, should view integrity as the prerequisite to an upright and responsible citizen so as to learn to despise and fight dishonest behaviors throughout the society. How can anybody expect to lead a meaningful life until he is far from any kind of cheating behaviors? Only when all of us join in the efforts of eliminating cheating at all levels can we expect to have a cleaner society and a more beautiful future.2010年6月大学英语四级范文背诵(09)1.
Nowadays, the prevalence of social media has revolutionized the way we communicate with one another. This essay aims to explore the impact of social media on interpersonal communication, discussing both its positive and negative aspects.Firstly, social media has made it easier for people to stay connected with friends and family, regardless of geographical distance. Platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter allow users to share updates, photos, and thoughts instantly, fostering a sense of community and belonging. This can be particularly beneficial for those who are away from their loved ones due to work or study commitments. However, the reliance on social media for communication has also led to a decrease in face-to-face interactions. While it is convenient to send a quick text or post a comment, this can sometimes lack the depth and nuance of a real-life conversation. Non-verbal cues such as body language and tone of voice are lost in digital communication, which can lead to misunderstandings and a lack of emotional connection. Moreover, social media can also have negative effects on mental health. Studies have shown that excessive use ofsocial media can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, and loneliness. The constant comparison with others' seemingly perfect lives can create unrealistic expectations and a fearof missing out (FOMO).On the other hand, social media has been a powerful tool for activism and social change. It has allowed for the mobilization of people around important issues and has given a voice to marginalized communities. The Arab Spring and the Black Lives Matter movement are just two examples of how social media can be used to bring about positive change. In conclusion, while social media has undoubtedly made communication more accessible and connected us in ways previously unimaginable, it is crucial to be mindful of its potential drawbacks. Balancing online interactions with real-world connections and using social media responsibly can help mitigate its negative effects while still enjoying its benefits. It is a tool that, when used wisely, can enhance our communication and enrich our lives.。

Analysis Tess’s Character and Tragedy in the Tess of the d’ UrbervillesCun Huaifen(Kunming University, Class2, Grade2010, 201016010210)Abstract: Thomas Hardy was a famous British novelist. His representative work Tess of the d’ Urbervilles describes the invaded capitalism at the rural areas and caused unfortunates to many peasants. The passage focuses on three parts to present main characters of Tess’s personality and tragedy.
