on vacation意为“在度假”,结构“on+名词”表示“在某种状态中”。

visit此处用作及物动词,后接人或物做宾语,意为“拜访、看望”,后接表示地点的名词,意为“参观、游览”。

设计意图:虽然学生学了不少形容词,但是学生并不清楚形容词如何用得恰当且又有何区别,通过讨论和板书,学生可以清楚地知道形容词可以有褒义和贬义之分,有些甚至是中性的。
