Once upon a time, there was a poor boy named Jack. He lived with his
mother. They were very poor, so Jack had to go and sell a cow.
On the way, Jack met an old man.
"Do you want to buy my cow?" Jack asked.
"No, but I can give you magic beans for it," said the man.
"What can I do with the beans?" Jack asked.
"They’re magic beans. Plant them in the ground. Something wonderful

a giant beanstalk grew up to the sky. Jack was very surprised. He climbed up
the beanstalk. When he got to the top, he saw a big house and a giant woman.
"Hello," Jack said. "Do you want to play with me?"
"No, I don’t want to play with you," the giant woman said. "I want to eat
