Value Engineering0引言随着信息全球化进程的加快和国际交流的不断加强,开展双语教学对高等教育的国际化要求日趋迫切。
为了迎合这种需求,高校中越来越多的专业,尤其是计算机专业,采用了双语教学模式,目的在于利用这种直接、迅速、有效的传载前沿知识信息的教学手段迎接学术国际化的挑战,并且已经取得了显著的教学成果,赢得了师生的一致好评。
而在民办高校中,由于受到各方面因素的影响,双语教学的质量和教学现状并不理想。
尤其是计算机专业,学生的英语基础较为薄弱,教师的教学水平相对较低,教材的选取不够权威等等诸多因素都成为开展双语教学的绊脚石。
因此本文的研究对于高等教育改革,尤其是民办高校教育改革具有较高的实用价值,引入双语教学,从价值创新的角度推动高校改革与发展。
1计算机专业引入双语教学的必要性一个学校,一项课程的引进,同样也会有提高形势、适应市场经济能力的问题。
高校在制定教学计划中应用价值工程,能以市场为导向,以提高教学质量的价值为出发点,将专业的设计、课程的设置进行功能成本系统分析,将课程引入的重要度进行量化,不但使高校的有限的资源进行合理的利用,又很大程度的提高了教学质量。
下面我们从价值工程的角度进行分析计算机专业引入双语教学的必要性。
双语教学在英国《朗曼应用语言学词典》所给的定义是“The use of a second or foreign language in school forteaching of content subjects ”。
即在学校使用第二语言或外语进行各门学科的教学[1]。
双语教学的目的不是学习外语,而是用外语学习,重点在于专业知识的掌握,不过双语教学如果得法,确实能够促进外语的学习[2]。
“双语教学”作为高校培养高层次专业技术人才的新模式,可以实现如下教育目的[3]:①培养学生从外文资料中获取专业知识的能力,提高学生自身素质;②打破语言壁垒,可以从网络或其他渠道获得优秀的教学资源,为学生将来从事科研打下坚实的基础;当然,高校在开展双语教学提高学生外语水平的同时,还可以开阔学生的专业知识视野,从而提高学生在就业市场上的竞争力。
地方性高校《水污染控制工程》双语教学的实践与思考Practice and Reflections on Bilingual Teaching of "Water Pollution Control Engineering" in a Local UniversityIn recent years, with the increasing attention paid to environmental protection and the rapid development of China's economy, the demand for talents in the field of water pollution control engineering has been increasing. In response to this trend, our university has established the "Water Pollution Control Engineering" major, and as a result, there is an urgent need to improve the teaching quality of this major. In order to better meet the needs of society and students, the bilingual teaching of "Water Pollution Control Engineering" has been implemented, and this paper will discuss the practices and reflections on this teaching model.I. Theoretical Basis of Bilingual TeachingBilingual teaching refers to the use of two or more languages in the teaching process. In the context of higher education, bilingual teaching is not only an effective way to improve students' language proficiency, but also a means to enhance learning efficiency and promote cross-cultural communication. In addition, the improvement of students' language proficiency can broaden their horizons and lay a solid foundation for their future development. As a professional course, water pollution control engineering requires a solid theoretical foundation and a proficient command of English. Firstly, the advanced theories and technologies of water pollution control engineering are mainly published in English.Secondly, the international community has formulated strict standards for water pollution control, which require professionals in this field to have a good command of English. Therefore, bilingual teaching of "Water Pollution Control Engineering" not only improves students' English language proficiency, but also lays a solid foundation for their future development.II. Characteristics of Bilingual TeachingBilingual teaching of "Water Pollution Control Engineering" in our university is mainly carried out in two ways: bilingual lectures and bilingual textbooks. In terms of bilingual lectures, the content of the course is taught in both Chinese and English. The bilingual teaching of this course adopts the following measures: firstly, the lecturer introduces the specific content and background knowledge of the lecture in Chinese, and then uses English to explain the specific theoretical knowledge and technical terms; secondly, the lecturer moderates the frequently asked questions in both Chinese and English to ensure that all students understand the content discussed.In terms of bilingual textbooks, the bilingual teaching of "Water Pollution Control Engineering" adopts the "bilingual teaching materials" model. The course syllabus and related teaching materials are all bilingual, and the Chinese and English translations of technical terms and concepts are provided at the end of each section, which is conducive to students' language learning and understanding of professional knowledge.III. Teaching PracticeThe implementation of bilingual teaching in "Water Pollution Control Engineering" can improve students' language proficiency and professional knowledge. In order to verify this hypothesis, a survey was conducted on the students who completed the course in the past two years. The results show that more than 80% of the students believe that bilingual teaching is helpful for improving their language proficiency and understanding of professional knowledge.During the teaching process, the lecturers constantly summarized and reflected on their own teaching practices. One of the common shortcomings in bilingual teaching is that lectures tend to focus on simple and basic content due to the influence of language limitations, resulting in incomplete and inaccurate transmission of professional knowledge. Therefore, the lecturers should pay attention to the use of English in professional terminology and sentence structure, and at the same time, the understanding of professional knowledge should be the core of teaching. In this way, the effectiveness of bilingual teaching can be maximized.IV. ConclusionThe implementation of bilingual teaching of "Water Pollution Control Engineering" in our university has achieved a satisfactory teaching effect. Bilingual teaching not only improves students' English language proficiency, but also enables them to have a deeper understanding of professional knowledge. However, the implementation of bilingual teaching is not perfect, and there is still room for improvement in terms of teaching methods and theprofessional language proficiency of lecturers. In the future, wewill continue to explore and innovate teaching methods, improve the quality of bilingual teaching, and cultivate more high-quality personnel in the field of water pollution control engineering.V. Challenges and SuggestionsAlthough bilingual teaching of "Water Pollution Control Engineering" has achieved good results, there are still some challenges and difficulties in the implementation process.Firstly, English proficiency of students still needs to be improved. In order to fully understand the content of bilingual lectures and textbooks, students need to have a certain level of English proficiency. However, many students have limited English proficiency, which makes it difficult for them to keep up with the pace of bilingual teaching. Therefore, we need to take measures to enhance students' English learning and proficiency, such as setting up language learning courses, providing language tutoring services, and enriching language resources.Secondly, some lecturers still lack professional proficiency in the English language. Although they have a good command of Chinese, their English proficiency is relatively weak, especially in terms of professional terminology and sentence structure. In order to solve this problem, universities should provide relevant training for lecturers, improve the quality of bilingual teaching materials, and invite experts and scholars from English-speaking countries to give lectures.Finally, there are certain limitations in the application of bilingualteaching. Bilingual teaching is not suitable for all courses and all students. The implementation of bilingual teaching requires a lot of resources and manpower, and not all teachers and students have the ability and motivation to participate in bilingual teaching. Therefore, we should carefully analyze the characteristics of courses and students, and choose the appropriate teaching methods and models.In view of the above challenges and difficulties, we should make the following suggestions:1. Improve students' English proficiency through various measures such as language learning courses, tutoring services, and language resources.2. Provide training for lecturers to improve their English proficiency, especially in terms of professional terminology and sentence structure.3. Encourage collaboration between Chinese and English-speaking experts in water pollution control engineering, and invite experts and scholars from English-speaking countries to give lectures.4. Carefully analyze the characteristics of courses and students, and choose the appropriate teaching methods and models.VI. 细胞生物学是一门十分重要的医学基础课程,内容也复杂,所以,在进行双语教学的时候,利用多媒体课件不仅简化了课堂教学中难以理解的内容,而且,还可以节省一部分时间用来进行专业思想的英语表述。
在做好双语课堂教学的同时,我们还准备研制一些交互式的教学软件,并且充分利用校园网络资源,使细胞生物学双语教学逐步完善。
3细胞生物学双语教学中亟待解决的问题四年来,我们努力以现代化的教学手段系统地剖析细胞生命活动的结构基础和分子机制,及时反映国际上最新研究进展,并结合优秀的研究论文介绍相关的科学思想和研究方法,使其成为融知识性、思想性和启发性为一体的七年制医学生课程。
然而尽管我们通过四年的双语教学取得了一些经验,但也暴露了一些亟待解决的问题。
3.1师资培训的问题师资是开展双语教学中的关键,师资数量和质量上的不足会制约着双语教学的开展。
并且,双语教学对业务素质都提出了更高的要求,如何在短期内有效地培养出更多的双语教・197・师是一个十分棘手的问题。
3.2学生语言素质的问题从授课对象——学生角度来看,由于我国英语教育中存在的一些问题,特别是历来的“应试教育”使许多虽然通过了四、六级考试的学生实际应用英语的水平并不高,着重表现在课堂教学时,很难流畅地用英语来进行专业思想的表达。
3.3双语教学教材的问题目前国内教师在用双语授课时,对于双语教学中教材的遴选比较困难。
尽管国内的很多知名出版社引进了外文原版教材,并适当进行了一些影印本的发行工作,但距在国内广泛推行双语教学的要求还有差距。
一是国外的专业建设和课程体系与我国的情况不太吻合;二是外文原版教材对于我国的大多数学生来讲也很晦涩。

Currently, someone argues that bilingual education should be implemented in the higher educational institutes., that is to say,English should be used as the language of teaching in colleges and universities.If it is a part of English teaching,it should be confined to the foreign languages colleges.Because it is possible there and meets the needs of foreign language learners.If it is carried out in all institutions of higher learning, it is no longer a matter of English teaching,but a matter of what language should be used in teaching.What’s more, It is a matter of sovereignty and national dignity.In the1950s,after China was liberated,we have thoroughly eliminated the remnants of colonial education where in colleges and universities teachers spoke foreign languages and used them, especially English or Chinese intermingled with English teaching their students.Are we going to recuperate them?Nowadays, the phenomenon of worshiping foreign things is gaining ground.For example,some people speak English to their Chinese fellows who do not know English,and there are many English names and terms appearing in some
newspapers and magazines while the readers do not understand.The Central Committee of the CCP leaders have already pointed out seriously that it is the colonial cultural tendency.Why should that tendency be advocated?
