中国英语？还是中国文化相关的英语？

摘要：近年来对于“中国英语”的研究甚为活跃，不少人赞同“中国英语”作为新的国别英语加入世界英语大家 庭。文章认为，英语是中国对外交流的首选外语，在中国的本土化无法避免，但本土化的结果是提高了英语的表现 力，而不意味出现了作为国别变体的“中国英语”，建议用中国文化相关的英语来冠名在中国本土化且带上中国文化 色彩的英语。 关键词：中国英语；本土化；中国文化相关英语 中图分类号：Ｈ ３１０．１ 文献标识码：Ａ 文章编号：１６７２—９９５１（２０１０）０５～００４０—０５
英美享有的文化霸权让英语成为国际通用语，为了便于
和世界交流，英语成为中国人学习的第一外语。近两年在中
国举行的国际性活动更是推动着“学英语”的热潮，有政府倡 导的提高餐饮、的士等服务从业人员英语水平的行动，有个
人为出国、升学、求职、交友而自发的学习英语，社会上随处
可见各类各式的英语培训机构。同时，英美国家也借助专门
组织（如英国文化委员会）、政府部门和慈善机构主动援助中 国的ＥＳＩ 教学，帮助中国的英语教学更快发展。从上到下
对英语学习的强调使得英语在中国的地位无以复加，英语是 各级考试、考核的必备内容，懂英语成身份、地位、能力的标
签。那么，英语在中国真的会从外语发展成二语吗？
一、国内“中国英语”研究综述
１９８０年葛传架提出“中国英语”概念。１Ｏ年后这个概念
才受到重视，黄金祺和贾德霖分别用“汉化英语”和“汉式英
语”认可葛传架的提议。２Ｏ世纪９Ｏ年代起热心人士积极寻
找“中国英语”生根发芽并成长壮大的理据，纷纷为它下定 义。汪榕培ｕ 下的定义为“它是中国人在中国本土上使用

more would be destructive to the morals. as time went by, tea became popular among
likeminded people, confucianism, taoism, buddhism and cultivation culture. until
tang dynasty, tea culture began taking shape. when it came to song dynasty, tea culture
became thriving. when people migrated, they would offer tea. when people engaged,
they would send tea. when people got married, they would settle tea. tea became an
important part in their daily life.
