1. Kitty and her family have gone to Hong Kong.
family作可数名词,意为“家,家庭,家人”。其复数形式要变y为i,再加-es,即families。
family(单数) His family is big. 他的家庭是一个大家庭。
family(复数)His family all like reading. 他们全家人都喜欢读书。
注意
family是集合名词,作主语时,若指家庭这个集体,则谓语动词用单数形式;指家庭成员时,被视为复数,谓语动词要用复数形式。
2. Suzy is not at home at the moment.
at the moment为介词短语,相当于now,意为“此刻;现在”,用于一般现在时或现在进行时的句子中,作时间状语,其中moment为可数名词,意为“瞬间;片刻”。
