万圣节英文故事
It was a dark and stormy night, the wind howling
outside and the rain beating against the windows. Inside
the old, creaky house, a group of friends huddled together,
trying to stay warm and dry. They had decided to spend
Halloween night telling spooky stories, and now, as the
storm raged on, they were starting to regret their decision.
One of the friends, Sarah, suggested they each take
turns telling a scary story to pass the time. The others
agreed, and they gathered around the fireplace, the only
source of light in the room. Sarah went first, telling a
bone-chilling tale of a haunted house on the edge of town.
The others shivered as she described the ghostly figures
that were said to roam the halls, and the eerie sounds that
could be heard at night.
Next, it was Tom's turn. He told a story about a cursed
mask that brought misfortune to anyone who dared to wear it.
His story was filled with suspense and mystery, and the friends found themselves holding their breath as he
described the strange occurrences that befell the mask's
unfortunate victims.
As the night wore on, the friends took turns telling
their own terrifying tales. Each story was more spine-tingling than the last, and the friends found themselves
jumping at every creak and groan of the old house. Finally,
it was Emma's turn. She had been quiet all night, but now
she began to speak in a low, hushed voice.
Her story was unlike any of the others. It was a tale
of a young girl who was visited by the spirits of the dead
on Halloween night. The spirits had come to warn her of a
great danger that threatened the world, and only she could
stop it. As Emma spoke, the room seemed to grow colder, and
the friends felt a chill run down their spines.
When she finished, there was a long silence. The storm
outside had finally subsided, and the only sound was the
crackling of the dying fire. Then, one of the friends spoke
up, his voice trembling.
"That was the scariest story of all," he said. "Because
it's not just a story. It's real."
The others looked at him in confusion, but before they
could say anything, they heard a faint whisper in the air.
It was the voice of the young girl from Emma's story, and
she was calling out to them for help.
Without a word, the friends knew what they had to do.
They gathered their courage and set out into the night,
determined to face whatever dangers lay ahead. As they
ventured into the darkness, they knew that this Halloween
would be one they would never forget. For they had become
the heroes of their own terrifying tale, and their bravery
would save the world from the evil that threatened to
consume it.
