死亡诗社英语观后感80字After watching Dead Poets Society, I was deeply moved by the film's powerful message about the importance of individualism, free thinking, and pursuing one's passions. The story revolves around a group of young boys at a conservative all-boys prep school who are inspired by their English teacher, Mr. Keating, to seize the day and livelife to the fullest. The film's exploration of the conflict between conformity and personal expression resonated with me on a profound level, as I have often struggled with similar issues in my own life. One of the most impactful aspects of the film for me was the way it highlighted the transformative power of education and mentorship. Mr. Keating's unorthodox teaching methods and encouragement of his students to think for themselves had a profound effect on the boys, empowering them to break free from the constraints of societal expectations and pursue their dreams. This reminded me of the influential teachers and mentors I have had in my ownlife, who have inspired me to think critically and follow my passions. The film also delves into the theme of the pressure to conform and the fear of deviating from societal norms. The students at Welton Academy are expected to adhere to strict rules and traditions, and any form of deviation is met with harsh consequences. This resonated with me as I reflected on the societal pressures and expectations that I have encountered in my own life. The film's portrayal of the struggles faced by the characters in asserting their individuality and pursuing their passions served as a powerful reminder of the importance of staying true to oneself, even in the face of adversity.Another aspect of the film that deeply affected me was the exploration of the power of poetry and literature as a means of self-expression and personal growth. Through the teachings of Mr. Keating, the boys are exposed to the beauty of poetry and encouraged to find their own voices through writing. This reminded me of the cathartic and transformative power of literature in my own life, and theways in which it has provided solace and inspiration during challenging times. The film's tragic conclusion, with the devastating loss of one of the students, served as a poignant reminder ofthe fragility of life and the importance of seizing the day. It also underscored the profound impact that Mr. Keatinghad on his students, and the lasting legacy of his teachings. This emotional and thought-provoking conclusion left a lasting impression on me, prompting me to reflect on the value of living authentically and pursuing my passions without reservation. In conclusion, Dead Poets Society left a profoundimpact on me, prompting me to reflect on the themes of individualism, free thinking, and the pursuit of passion. The film's exploration of the transformative power of education and mentorship, the pressure to conform, the significance of poetry and literature, and the fragility of life all resonated with me on a deeply personal level. It served as a powerful reminder of the importance of staying true to oneself and living life to the fullest, and left mewith a renewed sense of inspiration and determination to embrace my individuality and pursue my passions.。
Dead Poets SocietyWho are you? What are you doing? What do you want? Many of us are losing ourselves because of the reality, frustration, the pressure or the authority. In fact, we are just like a chess, for others have arranged all for you. We spend a lot of time in those things we do not like. However, we are immature. We choose silence or choose to force ourselves to like it. We ourselves never dare to say "NO" loud, or never master our life in our hand.Perhaps, you will defend for yourself, "This is no other way to do "; Perhaps you will say, "Now that everything looks the same, can I be unique ";Perhaps you will say, "This is the reality, and no one can beat it"; perhaps, very likely, you will become one of them and establish the authority of parents to educate your children. You have become a loyal defender of authority. There is an old golden Chinese saying: No one can exist who resists me .However, all in all, cannot it change?《Dead Poets Society》tells me that nothing is impossible. At that time, nothing is more important than yielding. What you have to do is to obey discipline and authority. To Rebel means no good results. In that old church school, in the solemn opening ceremony, taught by anold-fashioned and strict teacher, with the hope of the parents who have paved the road for them, they lose themselves. That "Tradition” "honor" "discipline "" excellence " quells them.“Oh, captain, my captain! Where are you?”Fortunately, they met with Mr Keating. To help more young people to find his own, Mr Keating chose teaching. He taught students to live. Students set up "Dead Poets Society" to release themselves. He taught students not to blindly comply with authority. He asked each one to tear up the wrong page that others take as authority. He encouraged the students to listen to the sound of heart. Then Knox read love poems to a girl, expressed his love bravely. He encouraged the students to see the world with a new vision. He let everyone stand on a chair to watch the world. He helped students overcome psychological barriers. And then Todd finally dared to express himself in front of everyone. Also, finally, It was he who first stood up and told the truth.Oh, captain, my captain. We are so lucky to have you. Because of you, we lead a new life from now on.Sad with the death of Neil. Neil put off all the clothes before the suicide and went away, naked, which meant he did not want to be underrestraint. Neil's death is a tragedy. However, to win the war, something must be sacrificed.I was impressed by the scene. Finally, students stood one by one on the desk to speak for Mr. Keating. Though Mr. Keating would not be back again, his impact on students will exist forever.I think that their life will certainly become unusual and significant from now on.At last, I want to dedicate some words to you. It is when Mr Keating led the students to find the meaning of life when reading Thoreau's poetry:I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, and not when I had come to die, discovered that I had not lived.Carpe Diem!To me,seize all to find out the meaning of life and one day the world will be different because of you.一、及时行乐,让你的生命超越凡俗《船长,我的船长》Oh ,captain ,my captain!《劝少年们珍惜时光》及时采撷你的花蕾/旧时光一去不回/今天尚在微笑的花朵/明天变得风中枯萎(丁尼生)Gather ye rosebuds while ye may/Old time is still a-flying/And this same flowers that smiles today/Tomorrow will be dying因为信不信由你,这个房间里的每个人,总有一天都要停止呼吸,僵冷,死亡。
死亡诗社观后感英语200Reflections on "Dead Poets Society""Dead Poets Society" is a film that has left a profound impact on me, sparking thoughts and emotions that have lingered long after the credits rolled. Directed by Peter Weir, the film tells the story of a group of students at an exclusive preparatory school who are introduced to the world of poetry by their unconventional English teacher, John Keating. What makes this film so remarkable is its ability to strike a chord with the audience, particularly with its exploration of themes such as individuality, rebellion, and the pursuit of happiness. Through Keating's unique teaching methods and his encouragement of the students to think and question, the film challenges the societal norms and expectations that often constrain individuals. One of the most striking aspects of the film isKeating's belief in the power of poetry. He views poetry as a means of unlocking one's true self, of finding voice and expression in a world that often demands conformity. His students, initially skeptical and resistant, gradually begin to embrace this philosophy, finding solace and inspiration in the words of poets like Dylan Thomas and Robert Frost. The film's portrayal of the student-teacherrelationship is particularly noteworthy. Keating does not simply impart knowledge; he inspires, challenges, and cares for his students. He encourages them to question authority, to think outside the box, and to embrace their individuality. This approach resonates deeply with the audience, particularly in today's era where the importance of critical thinking and creative expression is often overshadowed by the demands of grades and success. The film's climax, with the students standing on their desks to protest the school's rigid rules and stodgy traditions, is both thrilling and heartbreaking. It's a powerful symbol of rebellion and resistance, a declarationof their refusal to be silenced and conformed. However, the consequences of this act are tragic, as Keating's life is cut short in a tragic accident. This adds a poignant note to the film, leaving the audience with a sense of loss and regret."Dead Poets Society" is not just a film about poetry or even about education; it's a film about life, about the struggle to find meaning and purpose in a world that often seems indifferent and uncaring. It reminds us that each of us has a voice, a unique perspective, and the power to shape our own destiny. The film's final scene, with the boys standing on their desks and reading poetry aloud, is a powerful testament to the transformative power of education and the importance of embracing one's individuality. In conclusion, "Dead Poets Society" is a film that has left me deeply moved and inspired. It's a reminder that we all have the potential to be more than what society expects of us, that we have the power to question, to think, and to create. The film's message is as relevant today as it was when it was released decades ago, a timeless reminder ofthe importance of individuality, rebellion, and the pursuit of happiness.。

What Makes A Boy A ManDaed Poets SocietyThere are certain films that can heavily shock your soul, then elicit your thinking, and finally change your life. No doubt Dead Poets Society is one of these infrequent films. It is a film about a teacher and his students. It is a film about perseverance and change. It is a film about love and cruelty. The film is set in the United States in 1959. It shows us a series of things which happened to Mr.Keating and the young boys in Wilton Preparatory School.Mr.John Keating is certainly the main character of this film. He is a respectable teacher with a high self-cultivation. He has an advanced conception which is different from tranditional educatin. The other two main characters are Neil,a boy who is keen on performing, and Todd, a boy with a little shyness. From Todd, I see how a boy grows into a man.The film starts with the opening ceremony of Wilton Preparatory School. Todd, a shy boy, starts his school life with his roommate, Neil. On the first lesson, their taecher, Mr.Keating, just told them ‘Seize the day, make your life extraordinary’. He reads Whitman’s poet Oh Captain! My Captain. He taught the students to swim against the steam and to be themselves but not to perform. Students regard Mr.Keating as a different teacher.Neil rebuilds the ‘Dead Poets Society’. The menbers fall in love with poets, as well as Todd. When Mr.Keating asks students to try writing a poem, Todd has no idea. Mr.Keating is quite angry. With Mr.Keating’s stimulation, the youngster first time shows great talent, reading his own poem loudly. On the evening of Todd’s birthday, he talks about his birthday present which is the same every year and his brother ,who is so excellent that makes him feel inferior, with Neil, with sadness and a little self-mockery on his face. Neil encourages him a lot. Finally, Todd breaks up the disgusting present. Todd smiles to Neil, from the bottom of his heart. Neil has a sading ending. After performing on the stage,Neil’s father takes him home and warns him again. He just wants his son to be a doctor. Feeling despairing, in the midmight, Neil commits suicide with a gun. Both Neil’s parents and the school think that Mr.Keating is the only reason for Neil’s death and decide to fire him. A second before Mr.Keating leaves the classroom, Todd stands up on the desk for hiscaptain, with the menbers of Dead Poets Society followed. At that time, Todd throws out his recreance and becomes a real man. That is the end of this film. I have to say that Neil’s death is a certain event, whether there is a ‘John Keating’or not. It is not hard to see the long distance between ideality and reality. What Mr.Keating said and taught just strengthens the conflict between Neil’s heart and traditional conception. Neil despairs, but Todd doesn’t. We can see that Todd learns a lot from Neil and Mr.Keating, such as optimist, perseverance, courage and many other qualities which he doesn’t have before. So he stands up, and dares to shout what he thinks.I love the boy named Todd and his growth. I love the teacher called Captain and his freedom. I love the beauty of dream, as well as the cruelty of reality. The film is not only a profound story but also a sincere advice. Seize the day, make your lifeextraodinary. We just need to be ourselves and grow up step by step, with a clear conscience and a tenacious spirit, like a boy grows into a man.。
《死亡诗社》英文影评第一篇:《死亡诗社》英文影评Stand up, always keep smilingAfter I saw this movie –dead poets society, I was totally shocked ,the only words in my mind is that :‘stand up ,and always keep smiling ”.What the movie showed to us is that a passionate and unconventional teacher inspired his students to fight against the conservational social system to pursue what they really wants.Although the final result of this movie is an unexpected tragedy, I believe that Mr.Keating got a perfect success when most of the students stood on the desk, in spite of the master’s threats, to show their respect to their teacher. From this movie ,I rethink profoundly that on matter what we meet with , we need to face it bravely , we need to know what we really wants or truly needs , and then we can spare no efforts to fight for it ,just stand up and always keep smiling ,never give up your dreams or your life.we should believe that life is full of sunshine and hope if you are brave enough.when we find the conflicts between dreams and the reality ,we should find ways to balance them ,and try best to live everyday ,gradually you can find that you are growing to maturity. At the end of this movie, I’m very sorry for Neil’s s uicide;maybe he found the freedom after his end his life.In my mind ,Mr.Keating is a good teacher ,he just like a mentor or aguide , he encouraged confidence and enthusiasm ,I hope that I can find myself ,and do the best of myself with his inspiration ,an d ‘suck out all the marrow of life ‘.however, he forgot to taught his students how to become brave enough to fight for their dreams or beautiful things. He forgot to say: Nevergive up, just stand up and always keep smiling, you can become a fighter!第二篇:死亡诗社英文影评Busy living or busy dying--the view after seeing “Dead Poets Society”What does life mean?Life is like poetry.Life is like music.Life is ambition.Life is freedom.A person should have confidence and independence, which leads you, inspires you to seek true youth and noble beliefs. In this key school with top graduation rates and a history of more than 100 years, it purports four pillars: tradition, honor, discipline, excellence. But when the students shut the door, the four pillars are turned into: hypocrisy, terror, decadence and impurity. They also give it a name: hell.Mr Keating's existence is a bunch of sunshine but also a dagger. He is their wisest “captain”, the most fearless spirital guide. He brings them to an imprisoned situation step by step. But when the children see light, they also smell death. When we are young, we can chase for lofty ideal and glorious death.Between unromantic living and regretless death, I will always choose the latter because “people are great for dreams”.After seeing the “Dead Poets Society”, I realize the value of living.Life is just a stage for us, not important in itself. What kind of role and content we select on stage is of importance.Whatever drama, poetry, tragedy, drama, mime or opera...Even a hideous mess or an empty-headed can be shining. The principle is: make your choice and pursue it in you life.“I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately.I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life!To put to rout all that was not life. And not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.”“O Captain!my Captain!”英师1班吴侃璇 100111045第三篇:《死亡诗社》英文影评My feelings after watching the film----Dead Poets Society“Dead poets society” is old.It is a film about conservative and innovation, realistic and romantic, new and old two forces competition. This movie is one of the most wonderful films I have ever watched.T o be honest, I finished the film with tears. When the boys were standing on the desks one by one, and calling the leaving teacher: “Oh!Caption, My Cap tion.” I could not help crying. It was really touching my heart.Campus drama in the history of the screen has been performed many times, do not dare to say all that we get the shock of the soul, but at least let us understand that we can have a different fu ture.“Dead poets society” once again reminds us that everyone of us is the only thing in the world, the most out of the ordinary, also the genius of the one and only.Do we want to do, take the bull by the horns, no pressure, no doubt, fear nothing, brave starts our pace, and shout out our true feelings to the world loudly.“Dead poets society” the story occurred in a school named Wilton college preparatory high school in the last century fifty's.The enrollment rate of good school has one hundred years of history and good reputation. The purpose of school is called the four pillars: tradition, honor, discipline, excellence. When the students shut the door, the four big pillars became: hypocrisy, horror, decadence and filthy. At the same time, the students also gave it a very vivid name: hell.A prologue and lens of depressive manifestations express strong deterrent and confining force of this“ hell” on students', it is like a little heat and emotionalcolor machine, and every students into qualified products processing are consistent. But all of this changed because Keating, the alien teacher.Mr.Keating's first appearance in the school's opening ceremony, with refined and courteous smile, likes a warm easy-going character of middle-aged men. This pair of deceptive app earance contrasts with his series of “shock the common customs” performance in sharp contrast color. In Keating’s first class, he led students away from the classroom with a light humming ditty, which discard the classics and rebel against orthodoxy on the surface, but against life.He asked the students to stop the impetuous pace, to face the old yellow photos, to listen to“ card horse Dean” the silent advice, to feel that the time is short and the life is dying.“Captain” led the students one by one to stand on the table and let them look down around. He told them, “Change an angle to have a look the world, you'll find different things.” “Captain” let the students walk around on campus, and do not follow others' pace.Because when you are walking with other people in the behind you will discover how easy obedient is, and how difficult sticking to your own personality is.“Captain” let classmates exercise on the playground with reading poems loudly, because the passion of exercise is most touch to the essence of life. With the influence of Mr Keating, some of his students founded their own “dead poet society”.Neil came to act without his father's agreement.T od told the girl who had boyfriend that he loves her, and wrote a poem for her. They did what they like to do, and they were happy. But other teachers and students' parents were not happy with that, Specially Neil's father. When he found his son went to act a buffoon without asking him, he was so angry. He wanted Neil to transfer the school, for he thought it was MrKeating's fault. But, Neil didn't want to.Then, that night, Neil killed himself.Neil died.Mr Keating became the one to be blame. And he was fired. Before he left, he smiled.Because he knew his students imbedded his mind deeply into their thoughts. That's enough!“Poetry, beauty, romance, loving these are what we stay live for”, we are just a person, not a product. We live on the earth with our own passion.Without doing what we like to do, I think I have never lived. So Neil chose to die.In fact, it's his father killed him.Parents regarded this school as heaves, but to the students, it was a hell.Parents always think things using their own minds. They never think for their children: are they like these majors? What are they like to do? They just know that becoming a doctor will be very honor. They never consider that their children are happy or not. They just know that becoming a doctor will earn a lot of money and have a good life. They always think they are right, do well for their children.Actually, they are wrong.Absolutely wrong!Mr Keating, the captain, who wanted to change the education system of the school and change the mind of parents, but failed. But I think it will come true one day.Maybe the life is a kind of torture! As long as you live you have to face everythi ng in life! But this “torture” not only bring you pain!If there is no evil, will you know warmth and happiness? In fact, you could turn a look, maybe you'll find out everything is not so confusing!第四篇:死亡诗社英文影评(推荐)Dead Poets Society After watching Les Choristes, I continued to watch Dead Poets Society.Immediately, I found that both of them had the same theme.I even felt that I didn’t need to spend more time finishing it.At this time, the teacher’s words came to my mind that it was homework for that week which no one coulddelay, so what I could only choose was to move on.The result proved that my reluctant choice was right.I gradually became moved and couldn’t help shedding tears.Especially, when I watched the last five minutes--the moment the boys standing on the desks one by one called to the leaving teacher “oh, captain, my captain” in the saddest voice, almost no words could describe my true feeling.Although it doesn’t tell us what will happen to Mr.Keating and at the same time it gives us a very big room to imagine with our own thought.Everything is summed up in the few words put over in the scene and Mr.Keating’s final “Thank you, boys.”Yes, the respectful teacher was their captain in their whole life.He interested them in the poets, but in fact in life.It also helped me to see and understand the precious feelings between human beings better.Neil Perry, the hero of the movie, was a fighter to old forces. He was a lovely and clever young man, with good marks ,handsomeappearance.Maybe he was one of the best example of perfect students. He tried to do what he wanted, but his father stopped him.His father asked him to be a surgeon and go to Harvard. If he did as his father ordered ,he may be a famous surgeon and live a simple life. But he couldn’t,because he met Mr.Keating.He wanted to find his own voice and fly in his own blue sky.At last,he couldn’t bear the pressure from his parents and killed himself in a freezing winter night.Neil’s story proved that how important it is to stand one’s ground no matter how hard it may be.T odd Anderson, another important role in the movie, wrote down “seizing the day”in the first class. At first sight,he was a student who just knew to learn and obeyed whatever his parents told him.He threw his pencil box which his parents gave him a s his birthday present with Neil’sencouragement.Mr.Keating asked and encouraged him to describe what did Hetman look like in his imagination. With the help of Neil and Mr.Keating ,he gradually became a fighter, standing in the opposite of the old forces. After Neil died ,he had to accept his parents’ and the schoolmaster’s authority and was forced to admit that Mr.Keating was the main reason for Neil’s death. At the end of the movie ,he firstly stood up on his desk to say goodbye to Mr.Keating.Before he stood up,hehad already known what was the result of his action, but he was a child at school,my teachers were very strict to us.In our classroom,we must pretend to be the obedient sheep, not like in Mr.Keating’s class where his boys can be the free wolves. We were told that the answers in the teachers’ hands were standard.I want to ask what on earth is the standard answer.Everything has many aspects.Defferent people, different view, different answers.I think I’m so lucky that my family members have never give me any pressure in my study, but I always feel a kind of invisible pressure behind me.So I always work hard because I want to see the beautiful smile on my parents’ face when they know that I get the best marks. But many of my schoolmates were unlucky comparing with me.They lived an unhappy life because their parents gave them too much pressure that they can’t bear. They were always in sorrow because they would be blamed if they got bad marks. One day,if I have a child,I won’t give him or her any pressure, the one thing I will give him or her is that wings which belonging to them.Lethim or her fly freely in his or her own sky.At the same time,I want to tell all the parents all over the world that don’t give too much pressure on your children and let them take their own decision,or you will get nothing. When it comes to here, I have to say that Dead Peots Society is one of my favorite movie I have ever seen.I’m very impressed by many things from this movie. Now I want to share my favorite words in this movie.“I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately...I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life!T o put to rout all that was not life...And not when I came to die, discover that I had not lived...”These words definitely moved me and made me think of my favorite quote-seize the day, and make our lives extraordinary.I always believe strongly that if we all really do like this, the world, basically will be ours.As we all know, the only limitations are within ourselves, and we owe it to us to fight, to rebel against conformity, to change what we hate and keep what we love.In fact, living in this world is a beautiful responsibility, and only cowards dare not to change it for the better. The fact that the cast was basically my age, and was passing through the same dilemmas and situations I was facing made it all so much more powerful.I know I haven’t seized the day completely, but I will keep on trying.第五篇:死亡诗社英文影评Dead poets societyThe movie which the first time I heard is recommended by my friend, because the movie is so old that I didn’t want to watch it.But this time my teacher also recommended it, I think it must be a good movie. After watching it, I felt a little sad, not because of its end, but think o us today. There was much to thinkabout in the film, maybe different people have different ideas. The film tells us a story of the U.S.wilton elite school in 1959.it’s a traditional and old fashioned school which like a prison. The ancient bells ushered in new semester and also ushered in a new teacher Keating. He calls himself the captain. The captain like a lighthouse will lead students through the gloom. In his classroom, he encouraged his students to stand on the desk, with a new perspective to observe the world around. He introduces many thoughtful poetry to students, even allow students to tear up those dull textbooks. On the other hand they were encouraged to search the beauty and the real life in the poetry.Neil made me the deepest impression, he was fond of poem and the performances, but he was asked to become a doctor;he was the first one to comprehend Keatin g’s thought, but also he is the first one to reconstruct” Dead Poets Society“.on the stage he found his target, but strict father didn’t care about what he thought.Neil did not want to become a father expect people, but also unable to become a real himself, he chose to end his own life.Todd this closed and timid child, he never dared to show true himself, he was afraid that others evaluate him.Under the guidance of the teacher, he slowly began to bloom his own ideas.Neil's death made him grew up, when Keating was dismissed, he is the first one to stand on the table and shouted: Oh, the captain, my captain!Under his leadership other students also stand on the table, the moment was very impressive.I have learned many things from these two kids, the most difficult is to choose in our life. When reality and the ideal have contradiction, what kind of choice you will make? There will certainly be a gap between in reality and the ideal, but how we should do? The answer is to be the master of life, not the slave oflife. When we have goals we should be bold to pursue.Carpe diem.Seize the day, boys.Make your lives extraordinary.Do real ourselves, as the film said, ”I went to the woods because I wanted to the live deliberately.I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life!To put to rout all that was not life. And not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived."。
死亡诗社观后感英语作文1The film "Dead Poets Society" has left an indelible mark on my mind, provoking profound thoughts about the educational system and individual pursuits. In the movie, the protagonist's struggle and rebellion against the traditional educational pressure are palpable. Trapped within the confines of strict rules and expectations, he yearns for freedom of expression and the exploration of his true passions. His resistance is not only a cry for personal liberation but also a mirror reflecting the flaws of an inflexible educational framework. The teacher's unique educational approach is a refreshing contrast. By encouraging students to think independently, appreciate poetry, and embrace their inner voices, he ignites the spark of creativity and self-awareness in them. This serves as a powerful reminder that education should not be about rote learning but about nurturing the spirit and fostering individuality. When comparing the growth paths of different students, it becomes evident how education can shape their destinies. Some students conform to the established norms, while others dare to break free and follow their hearts. This variance showcases the diverse impacts of educationalmethods on individual development. In conclusion, "Dead Poets Society" compels us to question the status quo of education and to strive for an environment that allows students to blossom into their fullest selves. It emphasizes the importance of balancing discipline with inspiration, and of providing the space for students to discover and pursue their own passions. Only in such an educational setting can true growth and self-actualization occur.2"Dead Poets Society" is a film that leaves a profound impact on the viewer's mind. It presents a powerful exploration of freedom, dreams, and courage. In the movie, one character, Neil Perry, stands out as a symbol of the struggle for one's dreams against all odds. Despite the strict expectations and restrictions imposed by his parents and the school, Neil's passion for acting burns bright. He bravely steps out of the boundaries set for him, showing an unwavering determination to pursue his artistic dream. His story serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of following one's heart and having the courage to break free from societal constraints. The film also showcases how poetry becomes a medium to ignite the students' inner passion and longing for the future. The recitation of poems in the cave creates a sense of liberation and inspiration among the students. It allows them to express their innermost thoughts and emotions, awakening a spirit of rebellion against the mundane and oppressive educational system. The message of "Dead Poets Society" is clear: Freedom is not something to be taken for granted, but a precious commodity that requires constant fight and assertion. Dreams are the guiding stars that lead us through the darkness of uncertainty, and courage is the fuel that propels us forward on the path to achieving them. This film serves as a call to arms for all of us to embrace our true selves, to have the audacity to dream big, and to stand up for what we believe in, no matter the obstacles that lie in our way.3The film "Dead Poets Society" has left a profound impression on me, provoking deep thoughts about the current state of modern education. In the movie, the unconventional teaching methods employed by the protagonist Mr. Keating were both innovative and somewhat limited. The innovation lay in his encouragement of students to think independently, express their emotions freely, and pursue their passions. However, the limitations were evident when these actions collided with the strict school rules and traditional educational concepts. One of the significant issues raised in the film is how to balance the rules within educational institutions and the individuality of students. Rules are necessary for maintaining order and discipline, but when they suppressstudents' creativity and unique thinking, they become a hindrance. In reality, educators should strive to find a middle ground, allowing students to develop within a framework while also giving them the space to explore and express their true selves.Furthermore, the film emphasizes the importance of cultivating students' independent thinking and creativity. In modern education, often dominated by rote learning and standardized tests, students' ability to think critically and create is overlooked. To address this, educational systems should incorporate more activities that encourage students to question, explore, and come up with original ideas. This could involve project-based learning, discussions, and real-world problem-solving tasks. In conclusion, "Dead Poets Society" serves as a powerful reminder that education should not merely be about imparting knowledge but also nurturing the souls and minds of students, enabling them to grow into independent, creative, and passionate individuals.4"Dead Poets Society" is a thought-provoking film that presents a profound exploration of the conflicts between education and societal values. In the movie, the parents' unyielding insistence on their children's future plans starkly contrasts with the educational philosophy of the school. They have a fixed notion of success, often forcing their children into paths that they deem right, without considering the children's true passions anddesires. This reflects a common phenomenon in society where the definition of success and happiness is often narrow and one-dimensional.The societal pressure to conform to these predefined notions of achievement has a significant impact on education. It limits the creativity and individuality of students, hindering their potential to pursue their true interests. Just as in the film, the students were initially confined within the boundaries set by traditional education, but under the inspiration of their teacher, they began to break free and seek their own voices. This film reminds us that education should not be a mold that shapes everyone identically. Instead, it should encourage diversity and foster the unique talents and passions of each individual. True education should enable students to think independently, question the status quo, and pursue their own paths to happiness and success, rather than being forced to fit into a predefined mold determined by society. Only by doing so can we cultivate truly fulfilled and creative individuals.5"Dead Poets Society" is a thought-provoking film that leaves a profound impact on viewers, especially when it comes to the significance of education in shaping an individual's personality and influencing their life choices. The characters in the movie undergo remarkable transformations throughout the story. Take Neil Perry, for instance. Initially, he was obedient to his parents' expectations, but his encounter with poetryand the teachings of Mr. Keating sparked a rebellion within him. This newfound passion led him to pursue his dream of acting, a bold move that defied his father's strict plans for his future. However, the tragic outcome of Neil's story also highlights the harsh realities that can arise when one's personal desires clash with societal and parental expectations.Another aspect worth considering is the diverse reactions of different age groups to the educational concepts presented in the film. Younger viewers might be inspired to question conventional norms and follow their hearts, seeing the value of self-expression and creativity. Older audiences, on the other hand, may reflect on past experiences and perhaps regret missed opportunities for personal growth and exploration. The film serves as a powerful reminder that education should not merely consist of rote learning and conforming to established rules. It should encourage critical thinking, individuality, and the pursuit of one's true passions. True education empowers individuals to make informed decisions about their lives and to have the courage to stand up for what they believe in, even in the face of adversity. In conclusion, "Dead Poets Society" is not just a movie; it is a call to reevaluate the very essence of education and its far-reaching effects on our lives.。

观看电影死亡诗社英文观后感范文3篇关于观看电影死亡诗社英文观后感《一》First of all, this is movie is my all-time favorite, out of all the hundreds of films I have seen. However, every time I mention this film, I have to answer most people" s quizzical looks with It" s a beautiful little 80s film that stayed in the 80s. After seeing it for the 24th time since I first saw it 5 years ago, on my 13th birthday, I can gladly say that this movie went far and beyond the 80s, and the power and inspiration of the message can be felt every day.Dead Poets Society is a most underrated film by a most underrated director whose inspiring, uplifting and moral tales firmly grounded in reality are not nearly as appreciated as they should be. Here, we see one of his very personal and cradled projects, and he shows the visual style and concentration on characters in which he is so affluent. His control of the camera and the characters are very b and very smooth. The cinematography is near perfect, with every shot, along with the editing, seamless. Also very compelling are the color-tones in every scene, perfectly matching the mood and events of the scene. Could you say this is art? Absolutely. Then we have the performances. Robin Williams continues in stride as one who has to-date remained the most touching, heart-wrenching, awe-inspiring comedians with inarguable acting talent (he still remains my most favorite performer on the film screen)。

Be a real man
Dead Poets Society
There are certain films that can heavily shock your soul, then elicit your
thinking, and finally change your attitude of life. No doubt Dead Poets
Society is one of these infrequent films. It is a film about a teacher and his
students. It is a film about perseverance and change. It is a film about
love and cruelty.
The film is set in the United States in 1959. It shows us a series of things
which happened to Mr. Keating and the young boys in Wilton Preparatory
School.
Mr. John Keating is certainly the main character of this film. He is a
respectable teacher with a high self-cultivation. He has an advanced
conception which is different from traditional education. The other two
main characters are Neil, a boy who is keen on performing, and Todd, a
boy with a little shyness. From Todd, I see how a boy grows into a man.
The film starts with the opening ceremony of Wilton Preparatory School.
Todd, a shy boy, starts his school life with his roommate, Neil. On the
first lesson, their teacher, Mr. Keating, just told them ‘Seize the day, make
your life extraordinary’. He reads Whitman’s poet Oh Captain! My
Captain. He taught the students to swim against the steam and to be
themselves but not to perform. Students regard Mr. Keating as a different

teacher.
Neil rebuilds the ‘Dead Poets Society’. The members fall in love with
poets, as well as Todd. When Mr. Keating asks students to try writing a
poem, Todd has no idea. Mr. Keating is quite angry. With Mr. Keating’s
stimulation, the youngster first time shows great talent, reading his own
poem loudly.
On the evening of Todd’s birthday, he talks about his birthday present
which is the same every year and his brother, who is so excellent that
makes him feel inferior, with Neil, with sadness and a little self-mockery
on his face. Neil encourages him a lot. Finally, Todd breaks up the
disgusting present. Todd smiles to Neil, from the bottom of his heart.
Neil has a sad ending. After performing on the stage, Neil’s father takes
him home and warns him again. He just wants his son to be a doctor.
Feeling despairing, in the midnight, Neil commits suicide with a gun.
Both Neil’s parents and the school think that Mr. Keating is the only
reason for Neil’s death and decide to fire him. A second before Mr.
Keating leaves the classroom, Todd stands up on the desk for his captain,
with the members of Dead Poets Society followed. At that time, Todd
throws out his recreance and becomes a real man.
That is the end of this film. I have to say that Neil’s death is a certain
event, whether there is a ‘John Keating’ or not. It is not hard to see the
long distance between ideality and reality. What Mr. Keating said and

taught just strengthens the conflict between Neil’s heart and traditional
conception. Neil despairs, but Todd doesn’t. We can see that Todd learns
a lot from Neil and Mr. Keating, such as optimist, perseverance, courage
and many other qualities which he doesn’t have before. So he stands up,
and dares to shout what he thinks.
I love the boy named Todd and his growth. I love the teacher called
Captain and his freedom. I love the beauty of dream, as well as the
cruelty of reality. The film is not only a profound story but also a sincere
advice. Seize the day, make your life extraordinary. We just need to be
ourselves and grow up step by step, with a clear conscience and a
tenacious spirit, like a boy grows into a man.
