注意：person的复数形式是persons，但一般表示“人们”的概念时多用people。

forget v. （过去式forgot）忘记。
如：Don’t forget to call me. 别忘记给我打电话。
I forget the name of the book. 我忘记了那本书的名字。
辨析：forget doing和forget to do♦forget doing意思是“忘记曾经做过……”。
如：I will never forget having a trip to Yunnan with Ann.我永远不会忘记和安一起的云南之行。
♦forget to do 意思是“忘记做……”，to do表示将来的行为。
I forget to water the flower. 我忘记给花浇水了。
♦注意：forget通常不可用于进行时。
smell n. 气味。
如：The smell of the water in this pond is bad. 这个池塘里的水很难闻。
♦smell还可以作动词，意思是“闻；闻到；闻起来”。
如：I smelt the milk in the room. 我在房间里闻到牛奶的味道。
