四年级英语上册教案
Lesson 1: Greetings
Aim: To introduce and practice greetings and introductions in
English.
Objectives:
- Students will be able to greet each other in English.
- Students will be able to introduce themselves and others using
simple sentences.
- Students will be able to respond to greetings appropriately.
Warm-up:
1. Greet the students as they enter the classroom, using a variety of
greetings such as "Hello," "Good morning," "How are you?"
2. Encourage the students to respond to the greetings.
Presentation:
1. Show pictures of different greetings on the board, such as
waving, shaking hands, and hugging.
2. Ask the students to identify the greetings and elicit the English
words for each greeting.
3. Write the greetings on the board and model how to say each one.
4. Have the students practice each greeting chorally and
individually.
Practice:
1. Divide the class into pairs.
2. Instruct the students to greet their partner using one of the
greetings they have learned. 3. Encourage the students to respond appropriately to each greeting.
4. Monitor the pairs and provide assistance as needed.
Production:
1. Have the students stand in a circle.
2. Begin the circle by greeting the student on your right and
introducing yourself.
3. The student you greeted then turns to the next student and
repeats the greeting and introduction process.
4. Continue until all students have greeted and introduced
themselves to each other.
Follow-up activity:
1. Have the students create small posters with the greetings they
have learned.
2. Encourage them to use pictures and English words to illustrate
each greeting.
3. Hang the posters around the classroom as a visual reminder for
the students.
Assessment:
Observe and assess the students' participation and ability to greet
and introduce themselves and others correctly during the practice
and production stages.
