一、设计的理念和思路
该版块引导学生进行探究性学习,把英语听、说、读、写的训练从课堂内拓展到课堂外。首先,提供与该单元话题有关的具体阅读材料,以及对他们的简单介绍,让学生从中受到启发,激发学生用英语开展某一活动的兴趣。然后,根据所给的具体步骤,通过小组讨论、分工合作、调查访谈、信息检索、交流汇报等形式的活动,用英语去做一件事情,最后呈现学习成果,评价成果,创造性地完成学习任务,使学生在参与活动、完成任务的过程中,逐步提高培养综合运用语言能力。
二、教学分析
(一)学情分析
通过模块一的英语学习,此时的高一学生已经逐步适应了高中的英语学习模式,其在思维方式、知識水平、学习方法与策略水平等方面也有了一定的进步与发展,学生的听、说、读、写能力也开始慢慢形成。在教师的指导下,大多数学生都能用英语表达自己的想法和解决一些实际问题。但由于所带学生主要来自农村,英语水平存在着个体和区域的差异。因此教师要给学生表现的机会,指导其运用“第二语言”?去思考问题,逐步形成较强的英语语言思考问题能力。
(二)教材分析
1.教学目标
(1)To learn about a mysterious story about Yetis.
(2)To help students learn and use English by doing a group project.
(3)To develop the students’ interest in exploring the mysteries and have a
correct viewpoint of life.

T: Today we are going to learn Task of this unit. As we all know, in our daily life and study, we
may meet all kinds of questions and problems. For example, we may have new words in our
reading. Class, please discuss with your partners and find their ways to solve this problem.
T: Good. To know the meaning of a new word, we can look up the dictionary, ask the teacher for
help and guess its meaning.
T: Again, if your teacher asks you to write a report about the usual ways to find the meaning of a
new word, what can you do to collect some useful information?
Ss: We can ask our partners what are the ways they use to find the word meaning.
T: Yes. To collect information we need, we can ask people do some questions and answers.
Designing a poster
本单元Task版块的写作任务是Designing a poster。
写作训练:
结合单元所学知识,以Fighting against desertification为题设计一则海报。要点如下:
1. 荒漠化是一个全球性问题,世界上陆地有三分之一为干旱或半干旱地区。据预计,到下个世纪,全球气候变暖将使沙漠气候的区域增加17%。抵制荒漠化刻不容缓;
2. 荒漠化由多种原因造成,包括滥砍滥伐、过度耕作、过度放牧、旱涝灾害等。政府应鼓励并采取措施加大植树造林力度。与此同时,人们必须行动起来,采取各种措施,力争使沙漠化地区重新变成农田和林区;
3. 发起倡议,号召人们多了解荒漠化知识,积极行动起来,与之坚决斗争。

1. 这是一个新的应用文体——海报,它也是一种宣传广告,根据其面对的受众的特点,海报力求语言简洁,通俗易懂;
2. 一般海报叙述的多为人们喜闻乐见的新闻信息、动态等,应以一般现在时为主;
3. 海报的信息含量可以根据需要适当取舍,具有通知性和动员性;
4. 语言和句式的使用要能吸引读者,要注意多使用数据、短句和连接词等。
