Ladies and gentlemen,

Today, I stand before you to deliver a speech in English. English is not my native

language, but I have come to realize the importance of learning and mastering this

language. It has become a global language, connecting people from different corners

of the world.

English is not just a language; it is a gatekeeper to opportunities. In today's

globalized world, proficiency in English opens doors to better education, career prospects, and cultural exchange. By learning English, we can communicate with

people from different countries and cultures, expanding our horizons and fostering a

sense of global citizenship.

Moreover, English has become the language of technology and innovation. The

majority of scientific research, technological advancements, and academic

publications are in English. To keep pace with the fast-paced world, we must be able

to access and understand these resources.

Learning English also enhances cognitive abilities. Studies have shown that bilingual

individuals have better problem-solving skills, improved memory, and enhanced

creativity. By learning a new language like English, we exercise our brains and open

ourselves up to new ways of thinking.

However, I understand that learning English can be challenging. It requires

dedication, practice, and stepping out of our comfort zones. But nothing worthwhile

comes easy. We must be willing to put in the effort and persevere through the

difficulties. With determination and a growth mindset, we can overcome any

obstacles in our path.

So, how can we improve our English skills? Firstly, immerse yourself in the language.

Surround yourself with English by watching movies, listening to music, and reading

books in English. Practice speaking as much as possible, even if it means making

mistakes. Join language exchange programs or find a language partner to practice

with. Finally, take advantage of online resources, such as language learning apps

and websites, to supplement your learning.

In conclusion, learning English is not just about gaining language skills; it is about

embracing the world. It opens doors to opportunities, connects us with people from

different backgrounds, and broadens our perspectives. So, let us embark on this

journey of learning English together, to create a brighter future for ourselves and for

the global community.

it is a great honor and pleasure to be here on this beautiful saturday

morning to share with you my sentiments about life and passion for the

english language.

about a year and a half ago, i took part in my very first english speech
