Under such circumstances, it is small wonder that many educators believe that adding computer courses to education systems will benefit every child as much as teaching other curriculum such as reading, writing and Mathmetics. I am, however, not convinced by this view.Admittedly, many students with a strong sense of imagination and creativity can benefit tremendously from the education of how to harness the power of computers because they can be perfect tools by which those children are able to unleash their potential to engage in the designing of extremely useful apps with the possibilities to not only create hefty sums of fortune for themselves but huge conveniences to the entire society. Likewise, many children living in poverty would also be greatly helped if they can take advantage of computers and the Internet under teachers’ assistance in schools to exploit huge numbers of learning resources for free.Despite the facts presented above, it is by no means to claim that conveying computer skills can benefit each student. After all, children are still in critical stages of their growth and therefore overexposure to the intense lights emitted by screens of digital devices would turn out to besignificantly detrimental to the development of their vision.
