第一部分，英语专八听力。
英语专八最让人没有底的是听力,也是很多考生的弱项。听力分为两部分：第一部分minilecture要求你对听力有足够的敏感度，仔细听关键词捕获有效信息。conversation对考生来说不是难点，只要看清题目听懂内容，很容易做对。所以，建议大家在英语专八复习的时候每天最少30分钟时间练习听力，多听VOA和BBC新闻材料中的一些新闻报道、短评或讲话等。其次，练习记笔记，锻炼自己的速记能力。
第二部分，英语专八阅读
阅读这个东西也不是轻松，平时要练习。30分钟做四篇将近3000字的阅读，的确让人头痛。所以首先，要调整好阅读的心态，保持心里平静。其次一定要分配好时间，阅读题每篇的速度可以在7分钟左右，时间的长短可以视文章的难度而适当调整。刚开始练习的时候最多不超过10分钟一篇，尽量一次做俩篇，这样的话，强度不算太大，也容易接受，20分钟内搞定，按照这种强度进行训练俩周后，大概也就找到了英语专八的感觉了。
阅读时的方法就是：首先拿到阅读题先看文章的每段的首句和末句，而且只看首句和末句，对于首句和末句的阅读一定要切记，只
有这样才能把握住文章的中心思想和每段大意，只有这样才能
阅读难点
◆题材广泛，体裁多样
题材涉及到社会、文化、科技、经济、日常知识、人物传记、文学作品等，体裁有记叙文、说明文、描写文、议论文、广告、说明书、图表等，要求考生针对不同的文章自动调整阅读技巧及速度。
◆词汇量大
专八考试要求学生能认知9000到12000个单词，对考生的词汇
量提出了很高的要求，并且有时会出现超纲词汇。阅读速度约140
到180个单词/分钟。
◆句子结构复杂，长句多，增加了阅读难度
◆文章篇幅较长，这就对考生快速阅读，快速获取有用信息提出了很高的要求在规定的时间里做完4篇阅读。其次，选项可以先读，也可以后读，再有就是题干一定要读。还要注意题干中的特殊标志词。
第三部分，英语专八语言知识即改错，这个题也不太好做，主要是一些语法错误，语篇错误，以及词汇的错误。这个改错的练习每
天至少俩篇也就够了，不要贪多，但要对每个错误一定要心知肚明，不仅要知道是什么，还要知道为什么，这样到了考场上才不会发怵。
第四部分，英语专八翻译。中译英：专家提醒：翻译时要讲究翻译技巧，通常做翻译时，可先将文章通译，按照字面意思将其通篇
翻译，然后再做修改和润色。修改过程中要注意用词恰当以及句式
多样，最好避免都是同一句式，要长句短句相互搭配，才不至于你
的译文看起来毫无色彩。
第五部分，英语专八写作。多看看范文自己列个提纲动笔写，再拿自己写的与范文对照。最主要的是学习其中写作的技巧,比如语言
的应用,结构的安排,论点的提出等等。如果你能够认真去研究去思考,久而久之,你会发觉不管来什么样的题目,你都能够很轻松地写出那篇作文,而且自己感觉良好。
英语专八词汇。备考英语专业八级，词汇占据重要的位置。很多学生认为专八没有词汇题就不重视词汇的复习与记忆。然而，八级考试官方要求词汇量是13000，其实根本考察不到那么多，但是不能不背，其中一部分是专四考察过的，剩的一部分就是八级的。因此，每天还是要抽出一定的零散时间记忆单词。
英语专业八级应试策略
(1)浏览试题
在阅读文章之前，先浏览一遍试题和/或相关选项，对文章内容有个初步的预判。同时，确定每个题的题型，并针对性的制定解题思路。
(2)判断体裁
专八阅读文章体裁广泛，应该针对不同的体裁确定不同的解题步骤。对于文学作品或者记叙文体裁的文章，往往句子短，段落意思零碎，作者态度及观点隐晦，所以建议考生先通读文章再解题。而对于议论、说明等体裁的文章，往往每个段落都有自己的主题句，所以考生可以采取边看文章边做题的方式进行答题，这样可以省去反复查找定位的步骤，节省阅读时间。
(3)找出段落中心思想
一篇文章、一个段落、甚至一句话都有中心思想，而对于非小说体的阅读材料，如议论文和说明文，通常文章的开头或者结尾会给出整篇文章的主题，并且针对每段都会有一个段落的主题句，所以在阅读文章时，必须先对这些主旨有一定的了解，这样，做起任何题型就都不会偏离主题。
(4)灵活对待主旨题
如果文章中没有明确的主题句，建议先做其他题，等把其他题做完后考生将会对文章的理解更加深刻，这样再做主旨题的时候会相对有利。
(5)解决生词问题
提高阅读速度的一个重要内容是扩大词汇量。但阅读过程中不可避免地要遇到生词，遇到生词不要停顿，应该继续阅读，如果发现不影响意思的理解，可以直接略过。如果对文章理解有影响，可以稍微标注一下，通过上下文进行一定猜测：
联想法：根据上下文的关键词汇和给定的相关句子和语境，进行联想猜测词义。
逻辑关系法：有的上下文会涉及到对这个词的相关定义、解释、举例、类比、反比等，所以通过判断词语与上下文的这种关系而猜测词义。
构词法：通过词语的构词结构如前缀和后缀等猜测词义。
(6)利用篇章连接词
连接词是指在文章中用连接上下句或前后句意思之间关系的词或词组。在阅读过程中，如果我们能够利用这些连接词，便能快速理清文章的思路，理解上下文的相互关系，这就在一定程度上提高了英语的阅读效率。
英语专八写作技巧 (1)审题 在写作考试中要写出符合题目要求。高质量的作文，第一步是审题。所谓审题，就是通过阅读写作题目及相关信息或要求，准确领会 题目的含义，了解题目要求，为构思合乎具体写作要求的文章思路及 框架打下基础。数年来TEM-8写作项目已形成自身的特色。这个特色 就是，该项目内的几个部分（观点、情景、标题、写作要求）具有内 在的联系，从而构成一个整体。所以，审题就意味着不是仅仅浏览一 个标题，而是要兼顾其他部分。只有这样，学生才能真正明确写作目的，领会写作要求。 以TEM-8—1997的写作项目为例。该年的标题是 SOWING THE SEEDS，NURTURING GROWTH AND HEARVESTING THE REWARDS。如果我们 孤立地看题目的话，就很难领会该篇作文的具体要求和目的。但是， 一旦我们把标题与前面的情景与观点部分联系起来，这个标题的含义 就变得清晰：它要求学生用标题所含的耕作过程来比拟获得大学学业 成就的过程。同时，对具体语篇模式的要求（即ANALOGY）也显示在这部分中间。至于对作文修辞框架的要求，则出现在标题下面的一段文 字中。总来说之，提升审题的准确性有利于学生理解题目含义，了解 写作要求，进而有针对性地构思作文内容、布局等。不过，在历年写 作阅卷中我们发现，审题有误仍是学生经常犯的错误之一。 归纳起来有以下几点： 1）不熟悉TEM-8写作的设计特点，以为只看标题即可着手写作。这常常导致在文章内容上出现严重偏差。 2）对情景观点部分的理解一知半解，未经仔细斟酌就提笔写作文。这往往会造成学生采用错误的语篇模式。 3）忽略写作项目中对作文修辞框架的提示。这容易使得作文思路 或结构混乱或失衡。?
