If you don’t have your own, go to Bikes and Beyond to rent one. There are miles of bike pathways that wind along the San Diego Bay. When in Coronado, you should visit Coronado Central Beach. This beach is huge with lovely white sand.
A daycation may not involve relaxing at a hotel. However, day trips are great ways to have fun and travel on a budget. Although I have fun and travel on Southern California my entire life, I continue to find beautiful new beaches and places to explore.

My mother-in-law was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s(老年痴呆症) at the age of sixty-five. Over time, her memory loss became more frequent and caused more concern. It was difficult to find things for her around the house. But I refused to let the disease have the upper hand.
Mom and I walked around the yard, this time with a can of spray paint.
“Okay, Mom, cut back any plant sprayed with red paint. If you don’t see red, don’t cut.”
“I can do that,” she replied.
And it worked!
This was just the beginning of the many challenges Alzheimer’s would bring to our family. There was the time when Mom professionally cleaned my bathroom mirrors and glass shower doors with deodorizing spray(除臭喷雾). Occasionally she would tear a sheet from the roll of paper towel folded under her arm. It was a brief “life as usual” moment for Mom; she felt useful and I didn’t have the heart to stop her.
I was surprised that the more time I spend with Mom, the more I longed to look
into the corrupted(腐败的）thought process of Alzheimer’s disease. For instance, one Christmas, the family was invited to attend a sing-a-song in the community room at Mom’s care facility. As my husband walked his mother back to her roo m, he noted she was walking slower than usual.
“What’s wrong, Mom? Are you tired?”
“Oh no, I’m fine.”
As they rounded the corridor’s corner, the two rolls of toilet paper hidden beneath Mom’s sweater fell to the floor.
“What’s going on, Mom? Are you lacking in toilet paper?”
“Well, I didn’t want to accuse anyone,” she replied,“but someone is stealing my toilet paper.”
“Do you want me to report this to the front office?”
“Oh no,” Mom responded,” I can get all the toilet paper I need from the public restroom next to the cafeteria.”
We have no idea why she placed empty toilet paper rolls under her mattress(床垫）.
We never knew what to expect when spending time with her and, looking back, it was laughter that helped us overcome.

Queen Victoria was born on 24 May, 1819. She was the granddaughter of George III. and her father, Edward was fourth in line to the throne.
Edward married Princess Victoria from Germany and the couple had just one child, Alexandrina Victoria, who was born at Kensington Palace in 1819.When she was a young
girl, Victoria’s father died, followed 6 days later by King George III. The throne then passed to King William IV, but he also died early. This left Victoria to be crowned at the age of 18, in June 1837. Queen Victoria was to reign until her death on January 22nd, 1901.

Working overtime has become routine for white-collar workers, with more than 60 percent of employees in a recent survey saying they have to work extra time on weekdays and 40 percent have to do so on the weekends.
The survey was released by leading portal website NetEase. It was based on data from 800 million users as well as results from more than 38,000 questionnaires. Work outside of the 9 am to 6 pm time frame was defined as working overtime.
Working such long hours can be harmful to employee’s health.
Zhaopin, working for a Chinese human resource website, said in a report that 56.6 percent of white-collar workers have no time to exercise.
Huang Ruoshan, Zhaopin's senior career consultant, said working overtime is only prevalent(流行的，盛行的) in certain industries such as real estate, the Internet and finance.
"Those industries are developing very rapidly, which demands employees work hard under pressure and work extra time," said Huang. "Take the e-commerce industry as an example: It actually demands that employees be available 24 hours a day seven days a week."
An employee of mobile phone company Oppo in Shenzhen who only wanted to be
identified as Shen, said it is normal to work extra time and he is willing to do that.
"I barely have weekends. However, I am satisfied with my job, my colleagues and working environment. This industry is changing so fast, I am proud to say I am creating value in my position," said Shen, 27.
According to a report released by Zhaopin in February, getting out of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou has become more popular, with more job seekers considering moving to smaller cities.
"Employers have figured out how to keep talent under high pressure," said Huang. "Certain companies provide canteens, exercise facilities and other convenient services. Job seekers can't change the workload, but have to make their choices based on the situation." Huang, the career consultant, said.
