From the chart, we can see the market share of the domestic car brand had increased gradually from 2008 to 2009; however, the situation of the Japanese brands was not good. In 2008, Japanese car brans took the maximal market share and Chinese car brands took the second position. However, in 2009, China and Japan exchanged their positions. Except them, the American car brands took the stable market share from 2008 to 2009 in China.
So, what are the reasons of these changes? In my opinion, there are third reasons. To begin with, Chinese car industry has improved a lot these years. Second, with the development of Chinese car industry, comparing with cars with Japanese brands, domestic cars have the price advantage and nearly quality. As for the American car brand, because of the high price and high quality, few people can afford it; therefor, its market share in China is stable and behind China and Japan.
