For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay explaining why it is unwise to judge a person by their appearance. You can give explain to illustrate your point .You should write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.

本次作文话题是关于“Never judge a person by his appearance 不要以貌取人”。

There is an old saying that people never judge a book from its cover. From my point of view, this saying also applies to our attitudes towards others: never judge a person from their appearance. Because you never know one person’s true merits if only judging from their appearance.

It is true that an attractive appearance is of great significance not only for daily life but also for the job. However, it is unwise to judge one person by the appearance for the following reasons. On the one hand, with the advancement of science technology and medical level, people

can transform their surface by all means. On the other hand, the appearance should not be the merely criteria for judging an individual, considering that are more important factors, including Courteous, kind-hearted, honest and so on.

In conclusion, it is unadvisable to judge a person by their appearance. That’s why I assert that we should pay more attention to one's inward and place high value on inner cultivation.

As a prevailing saying goes,” Don’t judge a person by appearance”. Undoubtedly, it reflects a current phenomenon that fewer individuals seem to attach due importance to the significance of intrinsic factors. However, from my own perspective, we should put more emphasis on the quality rather than appearance.

Taking a look around, we can find examples too numerous to list. The best illustration might be some currently over-packaged products in the markets. To put it more exactly, we may easily notice that the delicate packaged products may turn out to be of inferior quality. Exactly, it is the intrinsic factors that enable us to make reasonable choices.

In short, laying a solid foundation is crucial if we want to make achievements in our studies or work, or indeed in any other aspects of our lives. And what we should bear in mind is that essence matters most

instead of “the first sight”.

It is unwise to put all eggs in one basket.

As a common saying goes,“It is unwise to put all eggs in one basket. ”Placing all eggs in one basket means focus all our attention on one thing and fix all our hope on one thing. However, It is wrong and reasonless.

Why placing all eggs in one basket is wrong? Placing all eggs in one basket tends to reduce the odds of success. By focusing on one thing, people will surely improve their efficiency and proficiency. However, they will also overlook other resources and possibilities, thus, the likelihood of success will be lower. Take Jack, one of my best friends, as a case in point: he started to hunt for jobs in his senior year. Compared with other students who chose different kinds of jobs, he aimed at state-owned firms alone. Unfortunately, getting a decent job in state-owned firms is really hard for him. At last, when others got a job, he was still on the way to his interviews. suppose he choose jobs in a wider range and “place all eggs in different baskets”,he could have gotten a job much easier. Putting all eggs in one basket in unwise, a truth which is applicable to many situations.

As a college student,we should endeavor to master more skills, accumulate different experience and make friends with diverse people.

Living in an age when the adolescents are lack of the necessary guidance and supervision, we can never fail to figure out the fact that teenagers are become especially self-conscious. Under this circumstance,

the youngsters are more likely to believe in what they have listened or seen instead of thinking twice before drawing their conclusions, which is pathetically and undoubtedly considered controversial or even unreasonable.

The reasons why I insist on the viewpoint that we should never directly and irresponsibly come to conclusions only by listening or seeing mainly lie in the following two aspects. To begin with, it is a invariable law to every existence in the world that nothing will stay still even for just one second. So are the things happening around us. What we see or listen may be just some particular period of the development of things, which proves unstable and changeable. In addition, the perspectives we conclude just through seeing or listening are usually one-sided. Drawing conclusions rashly is not objective enough to make our statements persuasive.

To sum up, it is unwise for us to define any thing as what we assume or imagine at first sight. Only by our serious thinking and accurate analyzing can we come up with more rational and reasonable conclusions.

You can cite examples to illustrate your views. 150-200 words. Without a doubt, a mutually-trusted relation between businesses and consumers is important for the two parties. First of all, though business is objective, cooperation is relatively subjective. Only when a consumer believe in what a businessman is selling, he or she could decide to buy something from the man. In reality, I have seen too many consumers purchase or refuse one commodity only because they like or dislike the salesman who they meet, especially when they are in a bad mood. Secondly, when one businessman consider that a customer trusts him, he would feel honored and satisfied thereby giving more preference to the customer. Naturally, when one businessman offers the best quality goods and the best prices to a customer, the customer has no excuse to refuse the businessman. Once such relation informed, both the two parties gain profit from it Hence, both businesses and consumers should work together to form a reciprocal relation. PartⅢReading Section A

For each of them there are four choices marked A), B), C) and D). You should decide on the best choice and mark the corresponding letter on the Answer Sheet with a single line through the centre. Passage One Questions 21 to 25 are based on the following passage. In 1985 when a Japan Air Lines (JAL) jet crashed, its president, Yasumoto Takagi, called each victim’s family to apologize, and then promptly resigned. And in 1987, when a subsidiary of Toshiba sole sensitive military technology to the former Soviet Union, the chairman of Toshiba gave up his post. These executive actions, which Toshiba calls “the highest form of apology,”may seem bizarre to US managers. No one at Boeing resigned after the JAL crash, which may have been caused by a faulty Boeing repair. The difference between the two business cultures centers around different definitions of delegation. While US executives give both responsibility and authority to their employees, Japanese executives delegate only authority—the responsibility is still theirs. Although the subsidiary that sold the sensitive technology to the Soviets had its own management, the Toshiba top executives said they “must take personal responsibility for not creating an atmosphere throughout the Toshiba group that would make such activity unthinkable, even in an independently run subsidiary.” Such acceptance of community responsibility is not unique to businesses in Japan. School principals in Japan have resigned when their students committed major crimes after school hours. Even if they do not quit, Japanese executives will often accept primary responsibility in other ways, such as taking the first pay cut when a company gets into financial trouble. Such personal sacrifices, even if they are largely symbolic, help to create the sense of community and employee loyalty that is crucial to the Japanese way of doing business. Harvard Business School professor George Lodge calls the ritual acceptance of blame “almost a feudal (封建的) way of purging (清除) the community of dishonor,”and to some in the United States, such resignations look cowardly. However, in an era in which both business and governmental leaders seem particularly good at evading responsibility, many US managers would probably welcome an infusion (灌输) of the Japanese sense of responsibility, If, for instance,
