时态（tense）是表示行为动作和状态在不同的时间条件下的动词形式。不同的时态用来表示不同的时间发生的动作或存在的状态。汉语中用着，了，过等表达不同时间发生的动作，而英语中则通过改变动词的形态来区别不同时间发生的事。get-got, fail-failed, am/is-was, are-were
一般现在时自述
第一，一般现在时就是表示现在发生的一些事情： be动词用am,is,are，行为动词用动词原形或者动词的三单形式
1.表示事物或人物的特征、状态。如：The sky is blue.天空是蓝色的。He looks happy.他看起来开心的。
2.表示经常性或习惯性的动作。如：I get up at six every day.我每天六点起床。I read English for half
an hour every day.我每天看半个小时的英语。
3.表示客观现实，自然现象。如：The earth goes around the sun.地球绕着太阳转。
第二，构成：
1. be动词：人或物+be(am,is,are)+其它。如：
I am a boy.我是一个男孩。The sky is blue.天空是蓝色的。
2.行为动词：人或物+行为动词(+其它)。如：
We study English.我们学习英语。Mary goes swimming every day. 玛丽每天去游泳。
当主语为第三人称单数(he, she,it)时，要在动词后加"-s"或"-es"。如：Mary likes Chinese.玛丽喜欢汉语。The earth goes around the sun.地球绕着太阳转。
第三，肯定句的变为否定句、一般疑问句、特殊疑问句：
1. be动词的变化。
否定句：人或物+ be + not +其它。
如：He is a worker.他是工人-He is not a worker.他不是工人。 I am not a boy.我不是一个男孩。
The sky is not blue.天空不是蓝色的。
一般疑问句：把be动词提到人或物前面 Be +人或物+其它? 回答：Yes，人或物+be/No,人或物+be not.
如：-Are you a student?
-Yes. I am. / No, I'm not.
—Is she a good student? -Yes,she is./No,she isn't.
特殊疑问句：疑问词+一般疑问句。如：-Where is my bike? -It is in the house.
2.行为动词的变化。
否定句：人或物+ don't( doesn't ) +动词原形(+其它)。如：
I don't like bread. He doesn't play sports.
当人或物为第三人称单数时，要用doesn't构成否定句。如：
He doesn't often play.
一般疑问句：Do( Does ) +人或物+动词原形+其它。如：
- Do you often play football?
- Yes, I do. / No, I don't.
当人或物为第三人称单数时，要用does构成一般疑问句。如：
- Does she go to work by bike?
- Yes, she does. / No, she doesn't.
特殊疑问句：疑问词+一般疑问句。如：How does your brother go to school?
He goes school by taxi.
