正视现实勇于面对科学发展 —农村小学生英语口语表达能力的调查和反思 马鞍山市黄山中心小学张宝林王宗青 内容摘要:本文是在对影响农村小学生英语口语表达能力的学习条件与环境,学习情感态度,学习习惯与策略三个方面进行问卷调查基础上,对农村小学生英语口语表达能力提高作了初步的探讨和思考,并提出相应策略,以期能够对提高农村小学生英语口语表达有所裨益。 前言 语言是交际工具,学习英语的主要目的,是为了培养学生运用语言进行交际的能力。为将来的对外交往及培养外向型人才打下扎实的基础,同时也让学生多掌握了一门工具,《英语课程标准》指出,英语课程改革的重点就是要改变英语课程过分重视语法和词汇知识的讲解与传授,改变忽视对学生实际语言应用能力培养的倾向,强调从学生的学习兴趣、生活经验和认知水平出发,倡导体验、实践、参与、合作与交流的学习方式,以及任务型的教学途径,发展学生的综合语言应用能力。学习英语的目的在于运用它加强人与人之间的交流,从而突出了英语口语表达的重要性。 一、调查背景与方法 为了解农村小学生英语口语表达能力现状,为了更好地贯彻《英语课程标准》,提高学生的英语口语表达能力,实现知识、技能向能力的转化。我们进行了问卷调查和学生访谈,力求探索出一些提高农村小学生英语口语表达能力的方法。 (一)调查的形式和对象。本次英语教学现状调查,主要采取问卷调查的形式,调查对象为我校三至六年级学生。 (二)调查问卷的设计和统计。本次调查问卷从影响学生口语表达能力的学习条件与环境,学习情感态度,学习习惯与策略三个方面着手,共设计了18个题目,较为全面地涵盖了相关口语知识学习的内外因素,保证了调查工作的完整性,所得结果的合理性、代表性,所有统计数据精确到小数点后两位,保证了调查数据的精确性、科学性。 (三)调查问卷的发放和回收。本次英语教学情况调查,我们共发放问卷156张,实际回收有效问卷143张,占总数的91.67%,可以作为研究结论的依据。 二、调查统计与分析 本次调查问卷从影响学生口语表达能力的学习条件与环境,学习情感态度,学习习惯与策略三个方面进行。具体调查情况如下: 1、学习条件与环境。 本项内容设计涉及到六个方面:何时开始学习英语、家中是否有学习英语的设备、家长的文化程度、家长的职业、英语老师上课用什么语言、家长对英语教育的重视程度。 调查结果显示出下面三大特点: (1)父母文化程度相对较低,家庭英语学习氛围薄弱。 调查表明, 家长受教育程度不高,初中与小学文化程度的占92.98%。65.28%的家长都外出务工或在家务农,没时间管孩子的学业,更不可能辅导孩子学习,尤其是英语。我校离城区较远,几乎没有孩子参加城里的各种英语辅导班,普遍缺少良好的英语语言环境。
