一、pre-task preparation

1. Show the toys to the. students and introduce:

二、While-task procedure.

1. Show the pictures of toys on the board. Ask students to call them.

3. Make dialogues according to the pictures.

While-task procedure

1. Show the cars to the students and ask students. If you like these cars,

how can you say ? Encourage students to say the sentences.

2. Show a picture of a skateboard and introduce it: This is a skateboard.

Show some skateboards and how do you say ? If you like the skateboards, how can you say ? If you don?t like the skateboards, how do you say ?

3. Encourage students choose one picture to say: I like … Choose the

other picture to say: I don?t like…

4. Put the robot into the box and ask students to guess. T: This is a toy.

What is it ?

5. Open the box. Show a robot to the students and say: This is a robot.

Can you say something about the robot ? T: Do you like robots ?

6. Show the masks of a cat and a dog. Give the mask to two students. T:

If you are a cat, do you like dogs ? If you are a dog, do you like cats ?

7. Oh, they don?t like each other. Why ? Now let?s listen to the story.

8. Play the cassette. Students follow in their books, then ask students to

repeat.

9. Divide students into pairs. Ask them to read the story as a dialogue.

10. For more able students encourage them to replace the toys with other

objects. Invite students to read the new dialogue to the class.

Post-task activities

Workbook page 12

1. Ask students to name the toys on the page.

2. Students match the sentences with the illustrations.

3. Students fill in the blanks.

4. Students work in pairs to check answers. Then write the correct letter

in the box.

5. Invite individual student to read out the sentences.

教学进度表 对教材的分析与理解 教材内容: Book 3A contains core language learning material, using a wide variety of text-types and activities to introduce language; poems; stories, cartoons, dialogues and practical tasks all engage the student at his/her personal level. This language preparation provides students with the means to carry out successfully the subsequent learning tasks, which are fully describe in the book.

教材目标: The “building block’’approach is based the fact that learning and the capacity to learn are developmental; that is, that students learn by building on known language, concepts and activities, to develop and expand progressively . The development of the thematic through related moudules ensures the deve lopment of language by constantly revisiting and recycling,thus building from a strong base within levels. In the knowledge that language and content develop and are revisited progressively throughout the package, vocabulary and stucutrues are introduced and practiced through tasks at a controlled pace steady enough to involve students’interest whilst ensuring constant consolidation . At lower levels, care has been taken to ensure that pupils are learning within familiar ,comfortable contexts so that the language is appropriate to their needs and interests. At higher levels, students’ knowledge of the world is taken into account as well. Student involvement is encouraged throughout Oxford English by tasks and activities that focus on interaction; teacher to student(s), in groups and in pairs. This collaboration ensures communication and the purposeful use of English . 总体设想: Workbook3A provides further post-task activities and exercises that reinforce the language learned through the students’ book and the associated tasks. They include activities that require the student to include a personal element in the form of posters, survey forms and personal information . Handwriting practice sheets are provided at the end of the book. Thus the workbook becomes a record of the student’s individual learning progress.
