英语语法基本句子结构

语法是对现成语言中规则的归纳和总结,以便学习者更快模仿掌握一门外语。所以语法知识很重要,你不能用汉语的语法规则来造英语的句子,那样懂英语的人读不懂,同样不懂英语的语法规则也绝对读不懂英语短文。

不同词类的单词,按照一定的语法规则组合在一起,能够表达一个完整意思的语言单位叫句子,一个句子由各种功能不同的部分组成,这些部分叫做句子成分。

一个句子一般由两部分组成:主语部分和谓语部分。根据各个句子成分在句子中所起得作用,可分为主语、谓语或谓语动词、宾语、表语、定语、补语、状语等。

主语

全句述说的对象,常由名词、代词、名词性短语或分句充当,一般置于句首。下面依次举例:

Walls have ears.

Football is my favorite.

Three plus four equals seven.

谓语或谓语动词

说明主语的动作或状态,主要一般又实义动词或者系动词担任,助动词和情态动词加其他动词的适当形式充当,一般置于主语之后。

They should have finished their work.

The chance may never come again.

注意:英语中最基本的原则就是:一句话,只能有一个谓语动词

宾语

宾语表示动作的对象,是动作的承受者。宾语一般放在及物动词之后。英语介词后也会跟宾语。可作宾语的有名词,代词,数词,动名词等,不定时式也可做及物动词的宾语。下面依次举例:She refused to read that terrible book.

We haven’t seen her for a long time.

He needs a new dictionary.

表语

表述主语的身份、状态、特征,常由名词、代词、形容词、副词、数词、不定式、动名词、介词短语或分句充当。置于联系动词之后。联系动词一般有be,become,turn,get,grow,seem.,appear,look,sound,smell,feel 等。

My father is a professor.

The milk has turned sour.

Everything here is dear to her.

定语

是修饰名词或代词的词,短语或从句。作定语的有名词,形容词,数词,分词机器短语,不定式及其短语,介词短语以及定语从句等。下面依次举例:

They are woman workers.

Tom’s father didn’t write home until yesterday.

Equal pay for equal work should be introduced.

状语

是修饰动词,形容词,副词等句子成分。状语表示地点,时间,原因,目的,结果,条件,让步,程度,方式,伴随情况等。做状语的有副词,名词,介词短语,分词及其短语,动词不定式及其短语,状语从句等。下面依次举例:

These products are selling quickly.

He is knee deep in snow.

七.宾语补足语和主语补足语

英语中有些及物动词,除了要有宾语外,还要加上宾语补足语,才能使句子意思完整。如果上述结构变为被动语态句,原宾语变为主语,原宾语补足语相应的变为主语补足语。可以担当补语的有名词,形容词,介词短语,动词不定式,分词等。下面依次举例:They elected me captain of the team.

He made me ashamed of myself.

基本句型英语基本句型主要有5种

主动补,在这种结构中,谓语动词通常是联系动词,也称“主系表”结构。

She is in good health.

These folwers smell fragrant.

主动,在这种结构中谓语动词通常是不及物动词。

Everybody laughed. Prices are going down. The guests have arrived.

主动宾,在这种结构中谓语动词通常是及物动词,随后必须跟宾语。

The plane is losing altitude. Nobody could answer this question.

主动宾宾,在这种结构中及物动词后需要跟两个宾语(直接宾语和间接宾语)

I sent him a telegram. Someone left you this note.

5、主动宾补,在这种结构中及物动词后必须跟宾语和宾语补足语。

They painted the walls creamy white.

完成时篇(一)——现在完成时 [提问] 请问在句子“Working in London has been the best decision I have made so far. (Experiencing English Integrated Book1 Page71)”中,为什么时间状语是完成时的情况下,主句仍然可以使用现在完成时呢? 答:完成时态通常表示已完成或已经开始从事的动作,它可以分为现在完成时、过去完成时、将来完成时以及完成进行时。根据定义我们可以了解到,除了表示到现在为止动作已经完成或已经开始以外,还有多种情况可以用现在完成时来表达。 一、动作从过去某个时间开始发生,延续到现在,并且说话前已经完成。 例如:The mission has been carried out well.任务已经很好地完成了。 Those girls have eaten two big cakes.女孩们已经吃了两个蛋糕了。 二、某个动作或状态发生在过去,持续并影响现在,有可能会继续保持下去。 例如:My brother has been abroad for several years.我哥哥已经出国好几年了。 It has rained all morning.雨下了一个早晨。 Up to now, parents have accepted the pop music youths prefer to.现在,家长们 已经接受了年轻人喜欢的流行音乐。 I have known him since the summer in 2001.自2001年的那个夏天,我就认识他了。 三、动作发生在现在之前的某个时间,可能是多次动作的集合,也表示习惯性的动作或 状态。 例如:Xiao Qin has come over here three times in the daytime.白天小覃已经来过三次了。 Which countries have you traveled recently?最近你都去过那些国家?
