仔细阅读解题步骤

第一步,读问题,划出标志词或关键词

快速浏览题目,对5个题目有大概印象以便阅读时有侧重点。一般来说,对于本身已经明确其考查内容的题目,标志词和关键词是比较容易找到的,只看一下题干即可,而对于那些并没有出现标志词和关键词的题目,如:The author suggests that,可以在解答试题时浏览选项作出解答

第二步,略读文章

在略读中,首先阅读第一段,因为第一段通常会告诉我们作者将要讨论的话题。然后阅读下面各段的第一句话,以对每个段落的内容有大概的了解,然后再阅读最后一段,以帮助我们对文章内容进行概括,或了解作者的评价、态度等。

第三步,解答试题

根据试题中的标志词和关键词,找到试题在文章中对应的句子,并对其进行仔细阅读,然后对比四个选项,选出正确答案。

题型分类及解题技巧

根据大学英语阅读理解测试能力的要求,阅读理解的试题类型可以分为以下五大类:主旨题、细节题、语义题、推理题和观点态度题。通过对历年大学英语四级试题的分析,阅读理解部分五类题型所占比重分别为:细节题占60%左右,主旨题和推理题各占15%左右,语义题和观点态度题各占5%左右。

在近年的四级考试中,阅读理解题型不断变化,较难的主旨类和推理类比重加大。尽管所选材料题材广泛,包罗万象,但其体裁选用和题型设置相对稳定,提问方式大同小异,因而考生可通过熟悉各种题型及其应试策略,提高阅读理解部分的做题正确率。

1.细节题

细节题即客观事实题,在大学英语四级考试中所占比例最大,目的是考查学生对重要事实和细节的辨认与记忆能力。事实或细节是文章中用来论证或说明主题的依据。这类试题主要考查考生是否掌握了作者用来阐述主题的有关事实和细节,对文章的理解是否全面,是否透彻。这类问题不掺杂主观内容而是针对文章的某个具体细节如:时间、地点、人物、原因、结果、条件、现象等的提问。

细节题主要对文中具体事实和细节(facts and details)进行提问。有时候,这类题目会进一步演化为是非判断题(true or false),考查我们的辨别和排除能力。提问方式一般为:When (Where, Who, Why, What, How)…?

According to the passage, the best answer to…is…

The author says…because…

Which of the following may be the best reason for…

【解题技巧】

在做细节题时,首先应当仔细阅读题目,弄清题目的具体要求,以及所给4个选项,然后在题目或选项中确定关键词,再利用关键词回文章中定位,找出文章中相对应的细节性句子,与4个选项进行对照,以确定正确答案。通常细节题的答案在文章中都会找到,但是答案的表述和原文会有所差别,常常不是文章中的原话,而是词语或句子的同义表达。

关键词的确定也有技巧。如果题目或选项中有专有名词(人名、地名等)、数字(年代、时间等)要将此定位为关键词。因为这些词有特点,在文章中很容易找到,所以很快就可以定位相应的细节,从而找到正确答案。如果题目或选项中没有明显的词,可以定位主要的名词或动词为关键词。

在所给的选项中有3个属于干扰项,有的是片面性的,有的是部分正确,有的虽属文章

相关内容,但不切合问题,有的用同义词、近义词或形似词进行干扰。因此,核对4个选项时,务必慎重,千万不要粗心大意,千万不要想当然。无论从数量还是分值上看,细节类问题都是至关重要的。因此,平时要多读多练,熟悉并掌握细节类问题的解题步骤和技巧。出奇制胜

1、体现中心思想的选项是答案

文中的细节、例子、引语都是为了说明文章主旨、段落主旨,所以考查细节的题目,虽然不是主旨题,但能体现中心思想或段落主旨的选项是答案的可能性要远远大于其他选项。

2、看似合理的选项不是答案,看似不合理的选项是答案

四个选项中若有一个对问题而言、根据常识看似不合理,而其他几项根据常识都可合理地作为问题的答案,此时若没看懂文中意思,就可以大胆猜测可能这个看似不合理的选项是答案。作为答案的选项看起来不合理的原因可能是其中某个词不是常用意义,若根据其通常意义理解则该选项看起来非常不合理,也可能是此问题有一些特定的理由。无论是哪种情况,都有助于使试题具有难度。所以根据命题的难度原则及实践经验可得出如下猜题技巧:看似不合理的选项是答案,看似合理的选项不是答案。

3、照抄原文的不是答案,和原文作同义替换的选项是答案

在设计题目时,为了迷惑考生,命题者一般都会将原文中的内容换个说法作为正确答案的选项,而将某些与题干问题不符的原文原话设计为干扰项,或将原文的某些句子作细微的改变引诱考生上当。

4、含义肯定的选项不是答案,含义不肯定的选项是答案

选项中的might等词语可以表达一种委婉、中庸、不肯定的语气,为表达的观点留有余地,而含义肯定的词语则使得句意有些绝对、没有余地。凡事都不能太绝对,所以选项“含义肯定的不是答案,含义不肯定的是答案”。含义不肯定的标志有:can, could, probably, may, might, be likely to, most, more or less, relatively等。含有这些词的备选项是答案的可能性较大。

5、最后阶段建议多背功能句,考场灵活应用。

如:文章结论句

From what has been discussed above, we may safely draw the conclusion that…

Taking all these factors into account, we may reasonably c ome to the conclusion that…

2翻译篇

1.在翻译前,先确定可以正确理解文章意思。即便遇到很难的说法,也可以先变成简单的中文再进行翻译。

如:年夜饭译:The annual reunion dinner

析:指过年的那顿团圆饭,每年一次。所以在翻译时要表达出这个团聚的含义。

2.中文没有过去式,但是英文有啊,千万别忘记翻译时态的转换

如:我在第一段说过,我刚从大学毕业。

译:As I said in my first paragraph, I was fresh from college。

析:中文的时态是依赖一些汉字表达,英文根据动词的变化形式展示。文中的“过”英文采用一般过去时翻译。

3. 有些介词可能会帮到忙,比如with+ 名词的结构,就很多见。

如:这里有许多山脉,生长着大片的森林,贮藏着丰富的矿产。

译:There are mountain ranges here with extensive forests and rich mineral resources。

析:生长和储藏这两个动词在译文中并没有以动词的形式翻译,转译为英文的介词。

4. 应用英语的固定句型,这些句式可以加分,绝对是亮点~

如:是巴斯德发现了疾病是由活着的病菌引起的。

译:It was Pasteur who discovered that diseases are caused by living germs。

析:此句应用了英文的强调句进行翻译

5. 分析上下句之间的逻辑关系,添加一些简单的连词,英文的译文会更漂亮。

如:汽油贵得惊人,我们就很少用车。

译:Because the price of gasoline was fantastically high, we seldom used our cars。

析:在原文中并没有出现表示原因类的词汇,但是在译文中根据两个句子之间的逻辑关系添加了表示原因的从句连词。

3听力篇

1、合理利用听力部分的direction时间;

2、大部分人容易纠结听不懂的东西,但是听力的答案往往存在于最简单的语句中。比如,短对话的第二句,听懂yes和no,要比拼了老命听懂后面莫名其妙的话有用多了;

3、短对话已经成为听力选择题中最变幻莫测的题目了。大部分情况下,答案都在第二句。实在听不懂时,使用“视听反向”即听到的不选的方式来排除答案。但是,记住,短对话务必听问题;

4、长对话和短文听力的第一题答案,一般都在前三句就出现,所以,我们比谁反应更快,不比谁更聪明;

5、最基本的一个做题方法——视听一致,即听到什么选什么,适用于长对话及短文听力,听力基础比较薄弱的同学可适当借鉴;

6、除了渣渣们都知道的but,however之外,first,infact,最高级,比较级,情态动词后方,也容易出现答案;

7、听写是听力中唯一一种听懂和听不懂,都不影响得分的题目。当然,如果答案听不懂,另当别论;

8、最后一周内,多背些听力选项中的词语的拼写,这类词语在听写中被考到的几率极高;

9、虽然你真的没法淡定了,但是我还是要提醒你,听力和阅读写作翻译不同,材料是流动的,播放了便不再重现。所以,保持克制与冷静,一定会让你发挥的更好。

4阅读篇

1、选词填空最后完成,一定要优先完成你百分百确认词性的空格。不确定词性的先跳过。

2、选词填空一定要优先考虑固定搭配,比如:make contribution to; have an impact/effect on 这样的高频词组考过多次。

3、段落信息匹配题先看题目后看文章。看题目时,关键词的选择很重要,直接决定你能否快速找到,找对段落。不要只选择一个关键词定位;要选择特殊词汇定位(大写,数字,连字符等);不要选择文章的核心词作为第一关键词定位。

4、注意段落信息匹配题的题干中经常把数字写成英文的形式,而非阿拉伯数字,这样来形成干扰。请考生务必看清。比如:2013年12月的题目中用的是half,原文给的是50%;题目中用的是one tenth,原文写的是10%。

5、段落信息匹配题中,题目与原文出现同义替换时,正确几率最高。在某段出现某题干的原词时,不要贸然选择,关注一下其他信息有没有在该段落出现。

6、仔细阅读定位是关键。根据出题顺序与行文顺序一致的原则,确定大体段落。较难题目中会出现题干与原文同义替换的情况,那么该同义替换的句子可能就是定位的句子。

7、段落推断题中(含有infer/conclude/imply/indicate/learn的题目),答案一般在转折处或者在段落末句。

8、当在两个选项间徘徊不定时,重新审题,比对两个选项与对应句信息,同义替换的选项或与原文主旨一致的选项可能是正确答案。

9、含有绝对性词汇的选项错误几率较高。如:no, all, only, must, little, always, none。

10、仔细阅读要重点注意转折处(but/however/yet)信息以及递进关系(moreover/also/furthermore/in addition)信息。
