Good morning,ladies.You know,today is Dec.21 2012--doomsday.If today really marked the end of the world,my speech would be the last speech you could listen to.Recently a question being discussed quite a lot on the Internet is what would you do if today were the last day?And what's your answer?
Actally I don't think the Mayan doomsday prediction reliable,and NASA also has debunked such apocalyptic theories,but some people still worried about the end of days approaching.For example,in China, doomsday seeds were planted when the 3-D version of the 2009 Hollywood disaster film "2012" hit theaters just last month, according to Asia Times.
In fact,the world would come to an end someday.And if we are not aware of the importance of environmental protection,the doomsday would be brought forward.Many films such as the day after tomorrow and 2012 have demonstrated the dire conditions of doomsday.I think almost everyone in our class have seen these films.In the films,except the realistic effecs of disasters,the most attractive factor is the humanity people showed when they are facing death.From the films,you could watch the survivors trying to, well, survive.Some people act selfishly,but the majority of people don't lose their kindness despite the dangerous situation.For example,in the film the day after tomorrow,the father was determined to meet his son so he refused the chance to evacuate.And people under the pressure of death stayed together and help each other out of danger.It is believed that humanity is the most important factor which would save people in danger situations.These films urge us to protect the earth,go forward until we die and understand love.
