《新编剑桥商务英语(中级)》课程教学大纲 一、教学目的: 《剑桥商务英语》课程是为训练学生语言技能和拓广学生的商务英语知识而开设的外贸英语专业方向的课程。 通过本课程的学习,使学生具备商务英语的基本知识和听力技能,使学生能够自如应付各种形式的商务英语听力素材,熟悉国际商务环境,善于交流,为学生能适应各种国际商务工作环境打下必要的基础。 听力 能听懂正常语速的日常生活和商务活动的谈话,类型涉及电话,采访,讨论,演讲,会议发言等。要求学生能正确辨认听觉信息,并做出适当判断,并能结合具体语言环境,理解所听内容的深层含义,把握说话者的态度和意图。 阅读 能看懂图表,正确理解商务专业词汇,能读懂英美报刊杂志上中等难度的商务英语文章,了解作者的观点与态度,把握其内涵,获取准确信息。 写作 能够运用所学语言知识,根据所给背景语言材料,图表及表格等直观资料,写出符合国际商务惯例,格式规范的商务报告,备忘录,商务信函,建议书和E-mail等,要求内容切题,结构严谨,条理清楚,语法正确,语言通顺得体。 口语 能够运用正确的英语讨论各种商务和日常生活的话题,进行电话交谈,能够作一般的会议发言和商务报告。要求内容切题,有较大专业词汇量,语音语调正确,语流连贯顺畅,表达基本得体。 二、教学原则 通过本课程的学习,着重对学生进行在商务工作环境下听、说、读、写的基本技能训练,进一步培养学生运用英语进行商务沟通的能力;激发学习兴趣,提高自主学习的能力;开发学生创新思维,培养学生在商务工作中用英语分析问题、解决问题的能力和创新能力。

教学从获取信息入手,把语言学习融入信息处理中以培养学生从事各种商务活动的能力。教学中以应用为教学重点,合理地组织教材的内容和结构,教学内容有浅入深,由易到难,使学生具备知识的综合应用能力。 三、教学方法与手段 1、以课堂理论教学为基础,以学生为中心, 适当采用实训模拟机制,以讨论与 实践相结合,课堂与实体相结合的教学模式。 2、对课本中的有关话题进行较为深化地学习。重点在组织学生自己进行能力训 练,提高学生运用商务英语与商务技能解决商务问题的能力。 3、借助计算机多媒体系统为辅助教学工具,适当要求学生利用INTERNET进行“上网作业”以及公文体写作的“上机作业”。 4、要求学生根据所学的主题到社会、市场、企业进行实地调查,写出商务报告。 四、教学内容与安排 2、课程学时:总学时为72学时,每周2学时,在第五、六学期开设。 3、课程对象:英语专业商务英语、英语翻译方向的三年级学生 4、先修课程:基础英语、英语语法、英语阅读、英语口语、英语听力 教学内容: 1、第五学期:Modules 1-6,共36学时。 2、第六学期:Modules 7-12,共36学时。 Module One 第一单元共计6学时 1)教学目的与要求 熟悉相关词汇、学会谈论不同的工作方式、掌握如何建立人脉关系的技能、明确工作职责。 2)教学内容: Business Topic 商务话题 2 学时

第一次课设计梗概(2课时) (1) 告知学生本课程的总体安排、教材的处理,上课的方式、明确学习目标。 两个目标:通过听、说、读、写及分组讨论,案例表演和课堂演示,培养学生在商务 情景下的工作习惯和交流意识;尽量通过BEC初级考试。 两个要求:为了提高学生的积极性并使他们了解在平时的学习中应提高哪些能力,告 诉学生现在用人单位对员工的要求,第一要有一定的专业素质,二是情商要高,即懂得如何 交流,如何为人处事。 教学方式:在教学中,主要采取活动教学,通过各种各样的活动,提高学生的自信心和交流能力。将学生分为六组,每组四人,一个组即为一个公司,每个组员都有一个职位,第一周确定每个组员的职位。第 三、四周确定公司的名称、职能和业务范畴,并在全班演示。 (2) 考核方式 平时表现:两个方面,一是整组的表现,即各个公司在各种课堂活动上的表现;二是 个人的主动表现和提问表现?只要平时刻苦努力,积极主动。 期末卷面:一整套BEC初级的模拟题。 口试:口试的形式仿照BEC初级口试形式并加上案例表演。 (3) 进入正题 本次课的项目主要是介绍公司的职务分类,职能范畴,撰写个人简介及设计名片。 Reading: Read and get to know the format of BEC preliminary exam.
