5.1 课程基本信息(表5-1)

5.2 课程性质与任务

5.2.1课程性质

《大学英语》是我院各专业大一学生必修的一门公共基础课,为学生在今后工作中的学习和运用提供了语言基础。本课程遵循“以应用为目的,实用为主,够用为度”的教学思想,服务于高职高专人才培养目标,通过课堂讲授和听、说、读、写、译的综合训练,使学生掌握必备的英语基础知识,提高英语综合运用能力,为学生参加英语AB级考试创造条件,对学生职业能力和职业素质的培养起重要的支撑作用。

5.2.2.课程任务

本课程主要任务是:通过课堂教学的各个环节,运用各种教学方法,使学生掌握一定的英语基础知识和听、说、读、写、译的基本技能,培养学生能够借助词典翻译和阅读有关英语业务资料的综合运用能力,要求学生能够在涉外交际的日常活动和业务活动中进行简单的口头和书面交流,进一步提高人文素养和职业意识,同时增强其自主学习的能力,为今后的职业发展和终身学习奠定良好的基

础,以适应我国经济发展和国际交流的需要。

5.3课程目标

通过本课程的学习,使学生较好的掌握英语基础知识,具有一定的听、说、读、写、译的能力,同时培养学生对英语语言文化的理解力和敏感性,提高学生使用语言的技能以及自主学习的能力,从而在涉外交际活动和就业需要中进行简单的口头和书面交流,并为今后继续提高英语交际能力打下良好基础。

学习情境

教学组织形式与方法:

采用教授教学法、任务驱动教学法、分组教学法、演示教学法、现场教学法等手段来激发学生学习的积极性和主动性,达到掌握本课程知识目标所要求的知识、具备本课程能力目标所要求的能力、养成本课程素质目标所要求的素质。

课程考核成绩由平时成绩和考试成绩两部分组成,平时成绩占40%,期末考试成绩占60%。考试采取闭卷方式。通过考核,使学生掌握和熟练掌握上述知识和技能要求部分所提出的基本要求。

阅读理解 B 42、Martin Luther King was a black minister, who became a great leader of the civil rights movement in the 1950s and 1960s. King was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia.
