Evaluates: MAX24288
General Description
The MAX24288 EV Kit is an easy-to-use evaluation kit
for the MAX24288 IEEE 1588 Packet Timestamper and
Clock. On the network side of the MAX24288 an SFP
module cage supports either a 1000BASE-X optical
module or a module containing a 10/100/1000Mbps
Ethernet PHY with an SGMII system interface. On the
system side of the MAX24288 an unmanaged switch IC
with integrated PHYs plus magnetics and RJ-45 jacks
provides an easy Cat 5 Ethernet connection to 1588 test
equipment or a processor board running 1588 software.
An on-board high-stability TC-OCXO oscillator is
provided to allow evaluation of 1588 performance with a
variety of network PDV and impairment scenarios. Also,
the board can accept an external oscillator input for
testing alternate oscillators. The board provides SMB

AIC1896 is a current-mode pulse-width modulation
(PWM), step-up DC/DC Converter. The built-in high
voltage N-channel MOSFET allows AIC1896 for
MAX13085EHot-Swap, RS-485/RS-422 Transceiver
General Description
The MAX13085E +5.0V, ±15kV ESD-protected, RS-485/
RS-422 transceiver features one driver and one receiver.
The device includes fail-safe circuitry, guaranteeing
a logic-high receiver output when receiver inputs are
open or shorted. The receiver outputs a logic-high if all
transmitters on a terminated bus are disabled (high
impedance). The MAX13085E includes a hot-swap
capability to eliminate false transitions on the bus during
power-up or hot insertion.
The MAX13085E features reduced slew-rate drivers
that minimize EMI and reduce reflections caused by
improperly terminated cables, allowing error-free data
transmission up to 500kbps.
The MAX13085E is ideal for half-duplex communications
and it draws 1.2mA of supply current when unloaded
or when fully loaded with the drivers disabled. The
