磁盘空间要求

IQ 代码所需空间
UNIX: ~300MB (安装所有组件) NT: ~120MB


数据库所需空间
IQ数据表空间: 70 - 100% raw data IQ临时表空间 – 根据具体用户数和数据而定


数据装载缓冲所需空间

此空间用于从文件load数据进IQ而使用 2-3倍物理内存(RAM)

内存总共空间要求
Virtual = 物理内存 + 交换区大小 建议最小512MB物理内存 当系统物理内存耗尽, 将产生与交换区的交换
进程会从物理内存拷贝 (交换)到交换区 当前非活动的页面也会从物理内存拷贝到交换区


ASIQ拥有自己的内存缓冲系统
确定页面如何在物理内存与交换区之间交换数据 它使用操作系统的交换区空间

ASIQ要求必须有足够的swap空间 当虚拟内存（交换区）也耗尽时，进程会失败

交换区
Also Known As Swap Disk or Swap Partition 建议: 交换区大小应设置为2-3倍的物理内存 不同操作系统对swap大小要求也不相同 ASIQ使用共享内存进行读写

ASIQ会将不需要的页面缓存到swap上

当swap空间不够时会导致:
系统支持的用户数减少 大的进程会由于缺少虚拟内存而终止

提高数据装载的速度 提高多用户使用时的性能


CPU频率越快越好
400 MHz (以上或更高) CPU对IQ的影响比磁盘I/O对IQ的影响要大

UNIX安装前注意事项

确定要安装哪些组件

至少要安装ASIQ服务器 Sybase Open Client Libraries


可选组件


当需要从另一个Sybase服务器装载数据到IQ，或则需要在 UNIX上使用ISQL客户端时才需要安装 安装11还是12版本，不可同时安装两个版本 最好安装Open Client 12 ，除非同一台机器上运行着 ASE 11.x服务器

Sybase Central on the UNIX server


当需要在UNIX上运行Sybase Central时才选择在UNIX上安装 它 也可以选择安装在Windows 95/98/Win NT客户端 需要支持12.4.2 Java plug-in

ASIQ在UNIX平台的安装准备
Before You Begin 1. 确定操作系统的版本 2. 安装操作系统内核补丁 (IQ要求的补丁) 3. 将内核参数调整到建议值 4. 设置用户资源使用限制ULIMIT -A, 然后reboot 5. 通过TELNET host检验网络功能（网络安装）

安装AS IQ
UNIX
1. 设置环境变量$SYBASE，此环境变量用于指定ASIQ 代码存放位置 2. 创建用户 “sybase”; 此用户的主目录是$SYBASE 3. Mount the CD-ROM drive 4. 运行安装程序, SYBINSTALL 5. 逐步执行SYBINSTALL安装步骤
Accept the default username and password for the utility database 安装完毕, 需要设置其它的环境变量

设置环境变量$SYBASE

$SYBASE
设置为某一目录如： /sybase (此目录必须已存在) 安装完毕后此目录下会有三个子目录


asiq_12 sybase-central_3.2 (选择安装才有) ociq-11_0 (选择安装才有) or ociq-12_0 (选择安装才有)

设置其它环境变量

$ASDIR
$ASDIR = $SYBASE/asiq_12 这个目录包括ASIQ服务器组件

bin/ charsets/ include/ java/ javaconnect/ demo/
lib/ res/ scripts/ tix/ log/

$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
$LD_LIBRARY_PATH = $ASDIR/lib 此目录包含ASIQ Server 库文件

设置其它环境变量

$SYBASE_OCS
当安装Open Client 12时才需要设置 $SYBASE_OCS = ociq-12_0


$PATH

更改path环境变量使之包含以下路径:

$ASDIR/bin - This is for the ASIQ Server binaries IF Open Client 11 is installed: $SYBASE/bin If Open Client 12 is installed: $SYBASE_OCS/bin

$ASLOGDIR (可选设置)
指定存放ASIQ Server日志信息的目录 每当服务器启动时会产生一个新的日志信息文件

UNIX平台下启动ASIQ
ASIQ服务器必须连带一个数据库才能启动 安装完毕, 启动ASIQ服务器时必须连接此服务器到 asiqdemo数据库或则是应用数据库 Asiqdemo数据库

安装完成后自动生成此数据库 此数据库还可以用于检测是否安装成功

它不包括数据

启动ASIQ – 简单方法

UNIX syntax: start_asiq dbname
start_asiq脚本存放在目录$ASDIR/bin下 此方法以后台进程方式启动服务器 Example:

% start_asiq asiqdemo.db
This example starts the server with the asiqdemo database, this example assumes you are in the $ASDIR/demo directory 此例子使用缺省的启动参数

Starting the ASIQ Server - UNIX
建议在UNIX下启动服务时采用配置文件而不是缺省 参数 Syntax: start_asiq @configuration_file.cfg dbname

Example:
% start_asiq @$ASDIR/demo/asiqdemo.cfg $ASDIR/demo/asiqdemo.db
This example starts the server with the asiqdemo database 参数文件用于启动数据库时指定启动参数

ASIQ服务器启动参数文件
适用所有平台 带有.cfg后缀的文件是服务器启动参数文件
这些参数会覆盖缺省的启动参数 必须调整这些参数来提高ASIQ的性能

Configuration file example:
-n eptgdev2_asiqdemo -cl 16m -gd all -gm 10 -gp 4096 -x tcpip{port=2638}
在参数配置文件中不要使用分号隔离参数 参数名称与选项必须在同一行

停止服务器
Unix 运行停止脚本

stop_asiq

此脚本会提示用户停止ASIQ服务器 使用时需要指定连接参数 连接参数用双引号括起来 连接参数用分号分隔(;)

dbstop


Example:
%dbstop -c “uid=DBA;pwd=SQL;eng=eptgdev2;dbn=asiqdemo”
