Unit 3 My friends The First Period (A. Let's learn A. Let's chant) 课时目标 1.能听、说、认读“strong”,“friendly”,“quiet”等描述人物特征的单词。 2.能简单询问他人的信息,并能用所学的单词简单描述他人的特征。 3.能听懂、会唱“Let's chant”部分的歌谣。 4.加深学生彼此间的了解。 重点难点 重点 掌握描述人物特征的词汇并能简单描述他人的体貌和性格特征。 难点 1.理解“best friend”是“最要好的朋友”之意。 2.掌握单词“quiet”的发音,知道日常生活中用“strong”代替“fat”,不宜用“big”来形容人的体貌特征。
教学准备 1.教师准备教学过程中所需要的图片、课件、录音机、挂图及教学录音带。 2.学生自备画笔和画纸。
教学步骤 教学内容 一、课前热身 (Warm-up) 课堂口语练习。 T:Nice to meet you,boys and girls. Ss:Nice to meet you,teacher. T:How are you today? Ss:Fine,thanks. 二、课前预习 (Preview) 我说你做。 T:Boys and girls,now I say,you do.Make yourself tall.
Ss:Tall,tall,tall.(学生起立边说边做) T:Make yourself short./Make your arms long./Make your eyes big/small… Ss:Short,short,short!/Long,long,long!/Big,big,big!/Small,small,small… (此活动既可以活跃课堂气氛,又能帮助学生复习学过的单词tall,short,long等,为下面的环节做辅垫) 三、新课呈现 (Presentation) A.Let's learn. 1.教师出示一个又高又壮的影视人物形象和一个又矮又瘦的影视人物形象,引出词组“tall and strong”和“short and thin”的教学。然后教师让班级中一位又高又壮的学生和一位又矮又瘦的学生站起来,说:“Look,he/she is tall and strong and he/she is short and thin.”
2.教师问:“Who likes talking in our class?”学生回答后教师接着问:“And who doesn't like talking in our class?”学生回答后教师说:“He/She doesn't like talking.He/She is quiet.”帮助学生明白单词“quiet”的意思。 3.教师出示动画片《喜羊羊与灰太狼》中羊村村长的图片,说:“He is friendly.”帮助学生明白单词“friendly”的意思。 4.教师播放本部分的教学录音,让全班学生跟录音读短语和句子,提醒学生在跟读时注意模仿录音中的语音、语调。 5.教师先让学生同桌合作表演对话,再请两三组学生上讲台表演,提醒学生表演时要带上适当的表情和动作。 四、趣味操练 (Practice) A.Let's chant. 1.教师出示本部分的教学挂图,并介绍挂图内容:“Look at the picture.There is a boy and a girl in the picture.The boy is Tim and the girl is Lily.They are good friends.Let's see what they are like in each other's eyes.” 2.教师先让学生自己小声读一遍歌谣的歌词,再播放本部分的歌谣录音,让全班学生跟录音唱歌谣,提醒学生可以边唱边做相应的手势。
3.让学生分男女生、分组比赛唱歌谣。 五、巩固延伸 (Consolidation& Extension) 1.Listen and draw. T:Now I say,you draw.I have a friend.She has big blue eyes,a small nose and long hair.She likes carrots.Who is she?Draw it on your paper.
2.Guessing game. 让学生用句型“My friend is…He/She has…”描述自己的朋友,其他学生猜:“Who is he/she?”

教学准备 教师准备教学过程中所需的录音机、教学录音带、人物照片等。

T:Good,we are good friends now. 二、课前预习 (Preview) 1.学生两人一组进行问答练习,如: S1:Who is your good friend? S2:He/She is… 2.做“猜人”游戏。 指名学生描述班中某一位同学的特征,其他学生猜这个同学是谁。 三、新课呈现 (Presentation) A.Let's talk. 1.新课导入。 教师先做自我介绍:“My name is…”然后提问一名男生:“What's your name?”该名学生回答之后,教师说:“His name is…/He is…”接着问:“What's his name?”启发学生回答:“His name is…”引导学生反复操练。
2.教师指一名女生问:“What's her name?”学生问答:“Her name is…”然后让学生反复进行问答练习。
3.教师出示本部分的人物图片,与学生进行问答练习,如: T:What's his/her name? Ss:His/Her name is… 4.教师说:“Look,I have some photos.Look at this photo.Who can tell me her/his name?” 然后让学生根据照片进行描述,如: His name is Peter.He has short black hair and small eyes.He is short and strong. 5.教师出示John和他妈妈的图片,指两名学生问,如: T:What is his name? S1:His name is John. T:Who is she? S2:She is John's mother. T:Now,John's mother and John are talking about John's Chinese friend. 6.让学生观看教学课件,然后回答问题。 (1)Does John have a Chinese friend? (2)What's his friend's name? (3)Is he tall and strong? Answers: (1)Yes,he does. (2)Zhang Peng.
