【教材分析】
本单元介绍的是贝蒂游长城的事情。对话中贝蒂的母亲表示自己很喜欢长城，希望贝蒂能拍一张长城的照片给自己，这说明长城不仅是中国人的骄傲，也深得国际友人的喜爱。教师要抓住这一点，在教学中融入对长城的介绍，借此培养学生的民族自豪感。

课标对七年级学生听说方面的要求如下：对英语表现出积极性和初步的自信心。能听懂有关熟悉话题的语段和简短的故事。能和教师或学生就熟悉的话题交换信息。能读懂小故事及其他文体的简单书面材料。能参与简单的角色扮演等活动。
【学情分析】
同学们在小学就已经接触到了现在进行时，但不够系统。本模块的语法现象是现在进行时。教师可以通过动画、视频等让学生感受现在进行时。视频和动画提供了语言应用的场景，学生可以在具体而真实的场景中灵活地学习、理解现在进行时的用法和功能。

(1)掌握本节课新词汇：postcards, call, lie, sun, line, take, wait, walk, trip, few,

(2)学会动词的进行时态的变化：be + V-ing.

通过学习本节课会用现在进行时来描述正在发生的动作。
