(一) Invictus by William Ernest Henley 成事在人 威廉.
Out of the night that covers me, Black as the Pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the Horror of the shade, And yet the menace of the years Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll. I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul.
(二) A Grain of Sand by William Blake 一粒沙子 威廉.
To see a world in a grain of sand, And a heaven in a wild fllower, Hold infinity in the palm of your hand, And eternity in an hour.
Believe in yourself
Believe in your dreams. Believe that you are loved. Believe that you make a difference. Believe we can build a better world. Believe there's light at the end of the tunnel. Believe that you may be that light for someone else. Believe that the best is yet to be. Believe in yourself.
Never give up, Never lose hope. Always have faith, It allows you to cope. Trying times will pass, As they always do. Just have patience, Your dreams will come true. So put on a smile, You'll live through your pain. Know it will pass, And strength you will gain
Hold fast to dreams 紧紧抓住梦想, For if dreams die 梦想若是消亡 Life is a broken-winged bird 生命就象鸟儿折了翅膀 That can never fly.
Hold fast to dreams 紧紧抓住梦想, For when dreams go 梦想若是消丧 Life is a barren field 生命就象贫瘠的荒野, Frozen only with snow 雪覆冰封,万物不再生长
The Furthest Distance in the World
The furthest distance in the world Is not between life and death But when I stand in front of you Yet you don’t know that I love you The furthest distance in the world Is not when I stand in font of you Yet you can’t see my love But when undoubtedly knowing the love from bot Yet cannot Be together The furthest distance in the world Is not being apart while being in love But when plainly can not resist the yearning Yet pretending You have never been in my heart The furthest distance in the world Is not resist the yearning yet pretending you have never been in my heart But using one’s indifferent heart To dig an uncrossable river For the one who loves you
There are gains for all our losses. There are balms for all our pain; But when youth, the dream, departs It takes something from our hearts, And it never comes again.
We are stronger, and are better, 我们变得日益刚强、更臻完美, Under manhood’s sterner reign; 在严峻的成年生活驱使下; Still we feel that something sweet 可是依然感到甜美的情感, Following youth, with flying feet, 已随着青春飞逝, And will never come again.
Something beautiful is vanished, And we sigh for it in vain; 我们枉自为此叹息; We behold it everywhere, 尽管在天地之间, On the earth, and in the air, But it never comes again!
