Dream Job – Actor 梦想职业- 演员 Helen: If you didn’t have to work to make a living… Oliver: 如果你不用为了挣钱，你还会做你现在的工作吗？ Helen: Then what would you like to do? What would you fancy doing to make a living?

Oliver: 那么你会选择什么做为你的职业呢？ Helen: If money wasn’t a problem, family responsibilities or education, if you could set all that to one side.

Oliver: Is that possible? 不用考虑钱，不用负责养家，所有的事情都不用考虑。 Helen: Then what would you really like to do? Oliver: 那么我真的希望做什么呢？得让我好好想想… Helen: We all dream from time to time about giving up our day job. Oliver: A day job 普通工作，正常班，很多人都会梦想能够做一些和他们生活不一样的事情，比如他们梦想的工作。

Helen: A dream job. What would you really like to do for a job? The BBC asked people of all ages, colours and backgrounds to tell us their answers to this question.

Oliver: 我们能够听到一些非常有意思的回答。 Insert - I'd like to be, there's a clue.. - I'd like to play football for Everton, they're my team. - You guys doing journalism and all that.. - I'd like to join the RAF as a pilot. - The first female Chancellor of the Exchequer in history.

Helen: But what is the nation’s favourite dream job? Oliver: 答案可能会有点儿出乎你的意料。 Helen: In the UK, the number one dream job is actor. Oliver: Really? 表演是很多人希望从事的职业。 But why? Helen: We’ll be hearing expert views about why so many people think that acting is the perfect job for them.

Helen: That’s actor Denis Lawson explaining the attraction of the stage to him.

Helen: And she says that it’s the people you meet in the business who make acting an interesting job for her.

Helen: Let’s hear actors themselves talk about their job requirements. Insert To be a good actor, you have to be quite a sensitive person, understand human behaviour. I mean it's a fascinating job, you’re partly an anthropologist, you're digging into, why do we do things, what makes us do things.

Oliver: Denis 解释说好演员通常都是比较敏感的人。 Helen: A sensitive person, who takes note of what’s happening around him or her.

Oliver: 对人类的行为举止由非常好的理解。 Helen: Human behaviour, the way you and me do things, and why we do it. Oliver: 他把演员和人类学家进行对比。 Helen: An anthropologist is someone who studies human societies. Oliver: 通过对其它人的深度研究和学习，演员在舞台上模仿和再现这些人的行为。 Insert To be a good actor, you have to be quite a sensitive person, understand human behaviour. Helen: Young actresses Jessica Stevenson and Kacey Ainsworth share their views on acting with us.

Oliver: 这就是毅力 stamina 和专注 focus. Insert It’s about stamina, a kind of emotional almost physical stamina in terms of staying focused, making sure you are still in the moment.

It’s jumping in with both feet, you have to be very brave, and you have to try and do something that you think will make you stand out, and also show your range and it’s a really difficult thing to get right.

Helen: Jessica talks about staying in focus and keeping the physical stamina with you.
