As a student, I’ve found it very difficult to tell lies. I have been trying to find

out the reasons for several years. It is from what I have learned that I know I should

be an honest person in my life. However, I find myself in a dilemma, that is,

whether I should tell a lie or not.

As we all know, there are many kinds of lies, such as social lies, protective lies

and trust-keeping lies. Different lies have different affections, just as different parts

of a machine have different functions. Among all these lies, white lies, the so-called

peace-keeping lies, are worth mentioning, for their unexpected effects on people.

But what are the white lies? When we are telling a lie for the purpose of

bringing happiness to a person, we can call it a white lie. But different people have
