1.关于turn的短语
·turn on打开，发动.如：Would you please turn the TV on?
·turn off 关闭 关掉. 如：Could you please turn off the light?
·turn up 开大（一般情况下指调节音量大小，灯光明暗，或煤气大小等）；出现。如：Turn the radio
up please, I can’t hear it clearly.；turn up还表示“出现”。如：We settled to meet at 7:30
at the cinema,but he didn’t turn up.
·turn down 关小；调低；拒绝。如：.So we have to turn down the other a little bit.;turn
down 还表示“拒绝”。如：How can you turn down such a poor little girl.
·take turns依次，轮流。如：Let’s take turns fill the bottles with water.
·turn back折回；往回走。如：Suddenly, he turned back running to me.
·turn out生产；驱逐；翻转；结果是。如： It didn’t exactly turn out as I planned.结局

3. stop to do sth. 与stop doing sth.的区别
·stop doing sth是“停止做某事”，doing是stop 的宾语，是要停止的动作。例如: The two girls
stopped talking when they saw me. 那两个女孩一见到我就停止了讲话。
·stop to do sth 是“停下来开始做某事”，to do是stop的状语，表示目的，是要开始做的事
情，例如:The two girls stopped to talk to me when they saw me. 这两个女孩一看到我就停下
来和我讲话。
