Ladies and Gentlemen,

Good evening! I am very glad to be here to share with you my view of

success. Everybody desires success but what on earth is success?

You may ask me “Is fortune success? Is fame success? Is a high status

success?” No, I don’t think so. Although they may be called success in some

way, I think success lies more in the success

of our striving for success. For example, China’s entry into the WTO is

a success; Beijing’s bid for the 2021 Olympics is a success; our national

football team’s dash into the World Cup is a

success. However, have you imagined the efforts it took to yield these

successful examples? Many people only concentrate on the results but don’t

pay enough attention to the process entailed to

success.

What made the process and the eventual success possible? The answer is

accomplishing something significant. However, the definition of success

can vary widely depending on individual perspectives and values.

For some people, success is measured by financial wealth and

material possessions. They may strive to accumulate money, property,

and luxury goods as a way of demonstrating their success to others.

However, others may view success in terms of personal fulfillment and

happiness, regardless of their financial status.

Success can also be defined in terms of career achievements and

professional recognition. For example, someone who has climbed the

corporate ladder to a high-level position or received awards and

accolades for their work may be considered successful in their field.

However, success can also be found in more humble occupations, such

I’m glad to be here to share with you my definition of

success.

When we mentioned the success, the usual worldly criteria

are wealth, fame, high social status and something other like that.

In reality, we can’t deny t these things in some way. But

personally, I believe that success is the realization of people’

hopes and wishes. And to live with a high ideal is a successful life.

It is not what one does, but what one tries to do, that make a

man strong. So I believe that success is ninety-nine percent

mental attitude, it calls for lots of positive quality: effort, love,

diligence, efficiency and so on. I think the successful life always

have these characters. If a person inherits his family’s millions

What is the definition of success? I believe different people

will have different opinions about it. If anyone asks me what is

success for me， I will tell him progress is success for me. I can

have small goal or great aim in my whole life. If the goal what I set

is too large for me， I will not taste the feeling of success. Or I

always set small goals， so I will feel success all the time， which

may make me become autophilia and without ambitions. Therefore， I

think if I can be better than yesterday or last time， then I am

successful.
