Soriana Serrana is a Spanish native breed wim needs that the medium where it exists, highlighting its high hardiness and adaptation to the limited a、ailabilib of grass,it is also ease for walking, which allows lix e in mountain areas.Another important f ̄ature is the ability of adjustment of body in periods of food restriction reserves[1,2】.Its main production are mestizo calves at weaning,as a result of crossing

of females of this breed with males of improx ed breeds(Limousin,Charolais,Parda Alpina).gix ing rise to a product of excellent qualities, both the carcass and meat f31. The arrival of alien breeds in the l 96(Is marked changes in the traditional fanning systems used so far. The Charolais breed was introduced in Spain in 1 962 by the Ministry of agriculture, currenthy found scattered throughout the national country Animal growth models facilitate objectix e comparison of the growth capacity of different populations. The evolution of bud?weight in the time function allows setting growth curves that characterize the growth of an individual or population I4j Tile graphic expression of a mathematical model of growth eliminates some temporar) environmental effects that cause fluctuations in growth and the rate of growth of animals can predict. Several models have been proposed to describe the animal growth.Gompertz【5 J model is used to describe the asymptotic weight of animal growth. Growth Modeling of Charolais and Serrana Soriana Native Spanish Beef Cattle Laird et a1.【6】propose alternative Laird to the curve of Gompertz that estimated speed of decrease in gain weight depending on initial live wcight and the turning point of growth. Both models arc special cases of the model of Richards[7】. In time, various researchers[8-ll】,have studied the comparison and adjustment of various models of growth in different breeds cattle.Azor et a1.【12】for the breed Retinta(similar to the Soriana Serrana breed),noted the Gompertz curve had a better overall fit being Richards submited minor adjustment. According to the study of Igarzabal et a1.【13】the Gompertz eulwc best describes the growth of the Limousin breed and Abreu et a1.【14】found that with Gompertz curve was better adult weight of calves of breed Pantaneira. Most recent are the research published by researchers as G6mez et a1.[151,Loibel et a1.【16】and Walmsley et a1.【171.But regarding Serrana Soriana breed,is not published anything on this subject being a totally new and original work. This study aimed to characterize the growth of male bovine breed Serrana Soriana(breed in danger of extinction and litle studied)and breed Charolais. reared in Sofia(Spain). 2.Material and Methods 2.,Animals andSampling Collection The trial was carried out on the estate of the Ecxma. Diputaci6n Provincial of Sofia.1ocated in the municipality of Tanifie(Sofia),where carried out fl programme of conservation and enhancement of the Serrana Soriana breed. 5 0 Serrana Soriana breed bovine animals and breed Charolais 50 were used all remained with their mothers in an extensive operating system until the weaning food was based in breast milk and the area of grazing pasture. At weaning(28 weeks of age),calves Table 1 Composition of commercial feed(kg of dry product). 779 were accommodated in semicubiertos housing(free range),with a density of 30 m /anima1.The food was based on fl commercial feed(Table 1),supplied at random with free access to eereal straw. Calves are weighed individually each week from birth to weaning(28 weeks),every 4 weeks until the 20 postdestete and eveIT 5 until week 70 postdestete (98 weeks oflife1.
