TheTPS22929isasmall,lowrONloadswitchwith•IntegratedSingleLoadSwitchcontrolledturnon.ThedevicecontainsaP-channel•SmallSOT23-6packageMOSFETthatcanoperateoveraninputvoltage•InputVoltageRange:1.4-Vto5.5-Vrangeof1.4Vto5.5V.Theswitchiscontrolledbyanon/offinput(ON),whichiscapableofinterfacing•LowON-Resistancedirectlywithlow-voltagecontrolsignals.The–rON=115-mΩatVIN=5-VTPS22929isactivehighenable.–rON=115-mΩatVIN=3.3-VTheTPS22929containsa150-Ωon-chipload–rON=118-mΩatVIN=2.5-Vresistorforquickoutputdischargewhentheswitchis–rON=129-mΩatVIN=1.5-Vturnedoff.Therisetimeofthedeviceisinternallycontrolledinordertoavoidinrushcurrent.The•1.8-AContinuousSwitchCurrent(25C)TPS22929familyhasvariousslewrateoptions•LowThresholdControlInput(see).•ControlledSlew-rateOptionsTheTPS22929deviceprovidescircuitbreaker•Under-VoltageLockOutfunctionalitybylatchingoffthepower-switchduring•QuickOutputDischargeTransistorreversevoltagesituations.Aninternalreversevoltagecomparatordisablesthepower-switchwhenthe•ReverseCurrentProtectionoutputvoltage(VOUT)isdrivenhigherthantheinput(VIN)toquickly(10µstyp)stoptheflowofcurrentAPPLICATIONStowardstheinputsideoftheswitch.Reversecurrent•PortableIndustrialEquipmentisalwaysactive,evenwhenthepower-switchisdisabled.Additionally,under-voltagelockout(UVLO)•PortableMedicalEquipmentprotectionturnstheswitchoffiftheinputvoltageis•PortableMediaPlayerstoolow.•PointOfSalesTerminalTheTPS22929isavailableinansmall,space-saving•GPSDevices6-pinSOT23-6packageandischaracterizedfor•DigitalCamerasoperationoverthefree-airtemperaturerangeof–40°Cto85°C.•PortableInstrumentation
