一、形容词作表语(位于系动词之后）;
eg. The youngster immediately fell ________ (silence) as tears flew down from his big blue eyes.(silent)
二、形容词定语(修饰名词）或补语(表性质状态);

三、副词作状语修饰动词、形容词、副词或整个句子;
