1.通过略读、寻读、细读等阅读技巧,归纳文章大意及段落大意并找出重要信息;
2.通过仔细阅读,培养学生创造性探索和解决问题的能力;
3.积极参与小组合作与交流,分组讨论完成任务,培养学生合作探究的精神。

1. At the beginning of the class, say hello to several students to
recall the common expressions of greeting.
2. Let the students complete the conversations in Activity 1 and
practice in pairs, guessing the relationship between those
speakers. (Pic 1: Teacher & Student, Pic 2 : Schoolmates or
Classmates, Pic 3: Mother & Daughter, Pic 4: Doctor & Patient )
3. Ask the students how to address their teacher in the usual way.
Then lead in the content of Activity 2, role-playing the
conversation in pairs.
II. Listening and Speaking

AI is short for artificial intelligence (人工智能).Scientists have been working to
improve AI models, mainly by training the models on larger and larger collections of
information. Those works are paying off. Quite powerful AI tools have surprised even their
creators with what they can do.
Some recent models can create music based on people’s choice of mood (气氛), style
and length. Some can create realistic photos from a short-written description. Others can
recreate anyone’s voice saying anything based on a voice recording just a few seconds long.
But the AI tool that’s gotten the most attention recently is ChatGPT, created by the
company OpenAI. ChatGPT is used to generate text (create writing). When asked a question,
ChatGPT answers quickly in perfect sentences. It makes up stories and games, writes articles,

一、教材内容分析
本单元围绕“卓有成就的人物”这一主题展开,内容涵盖多位取得卓越成就的中外人物。本单元鼓励学生在人与自我、人与社会的主题下,多角度地认识、思考、探索这些卓有成就的人物获得成功的原因及人生的价值和意义所在。开篇页主题图是屠呦呦被授予诺贝尔奖的现场照片,引言是爱因斯坦对人生价值的理解:努力不是为了功成名就,而是为了成为有价值的人。主题图与引言结合,与主篇阅读和单元话题相呼应,使读者有一种身临其境的感觉。阅读板块的活动主题是“描述卓有成就的人物”(Describe people of achievement)。学生通过阅读屠呦呦获诺贝尔奖的专题新闻报道,了解屠呦呦及其团队发现并提炼出青蒿素发现青蒿素来治疗疟疾的主要过程。归纳屠呦呦及其团队获得成功的原因,概括介绍屠呦呦发现青蒿素并成功治疗疟疾的过程。在此过程中,学生可以感受到屠呦呦及其团队的艰辛和伟大,了解传统中医药对人类健康和世界发展的突出贡献和价值,进而反思自我,为“成为有价值之人”做好未来职业和人生规划。
