•Margaret Mitchell:born in Atlanta, Georgia.
She spent her childhood in the laps of Civil War veterans and of her maternal relatives, who had lived through the Civil War. After graduating from Washington Seminary, she attended Smith College, but just one year later,in 1918,She returned to Atlanta to take over the household after her mother's death earlier that year from the great Spanish flu pandemic of 1918.
• When hardships plague Scarlett, she shoulders the troubles of her family and friends. Scarlett’s desire for the Southern gentleman Ashley and the opportunistic New Southerner Rhett Butler makes use of the South’s struggle to cling to tradition and still survive in the new era.

Structure
• Gone with the wind is divided into five parts and is composed of sixty one chapters, it contain 660 pages. The story set in Atlanta, depicting the lives of Southerners before the Civil War. Work depicts many southerners of that era's image, the center of the figure accounted for Scarlett O'Hara, Rhett Butler, David Ashley, Melanie, who is one of Korea's typical. Their customs etiquette, manners, spiritual ideas, political attitudes, that dress, etc., described in the novel are very detailed. Novels can be successfully reproduced the South of that era of social life in this region.

• Gone with the wind is a novel written by Margaret Mitchell and it was first published in 1936. Mitchell was born in the city of Atlanta, Georgia, in november 8, 1900, in a lawyer family. She studied at Washington Seminary Smith College in Massachusetts, 1922-1926, she served as the local newspaper “Atlanta Journal” reporter.

With Gone with the Wind Margaret brought a promising message to all people - "Tomorrow is another day."
Margaret Mitchell's first and only published, best-selling and Reconstruction Period novel that first appeared in 1936, but was mostly written in the late 1920s. The novel had a great success throughout the United States and around the world. It has been translated into about 27 languages in 37 countries.
On Melanie deathbed,she tells Scarlett to be kind to Rhett, that he loves her. Out side ,Ashley collapses in tears Only then does Scarlett realize that she had lovedsomething that never really existed. She runs home tells Rhett that she had loved him all along, that she never really loved Ashley. But Rhett walks out the door.
