1. The aim of the lesson: to reduce our growing pains and to establish

good relationship with people.

2. The important of this lesson:

First, what cause pains in our daily life ?

Second,what parents should do to release the pain of

children?

Third, how to deal with generation gap among parents and

children?

3.The difficult of the lesson:

To begin with: realizing the pains and learning how to

adjust our attitude to life.

What’s more: establishing good relationship with parents

and others.

4.The prepared of teaching aid:

a.the teaching courseware of lesson 2——Growing Pains

b. a video about the dialogue

教学过程:

1. 热身\复习(warming-up \revision)

1) 老师用几个上次课学习的句子向同学提问,请同学回答。

2) 问一些有趣的问题,调动学生学习兴趣。

3) 可适当问问同学有关于本课的一些问题。

2. 呈现新课(presentation)

1) 师生观看教学课件,课件内容为Growing pains的内容,使学生了解课文要教授的是什么,了解Growing pains指的是什么,以及结合学生先阶段实际让学生深刻理解。

2) 再次观看课件,教师提问:How much do you know about yourself?

3) 让学生观看有关于他们现阶段面临的一些Growing pains的课件,并且请几个学生谈谈自己对这些成长烦恼的切身体会。

4) 让学生做Free talk,三个问题:(1)What does “Growing pains” mean to you?

What problems do you have? (2) Why do you have these troubles? (3) How

do you solve these problems?

5) 让学生做两分钟内做问题调查:

(1)Do you think your parents understand you?

A. Yes B. No C. don’t know

(2)Do you often quarrel with you parents?

A. Very often B. Often C. Sometimes

D. Rarely (很少) E. Never

(3)Do you and your parents often talk to each other or have fun together?

A. Very often B. Often C. Sometimes

(4)Do you and your parents have common interests or hobbies?

(5)Do they always force you to do things you don’t like to do?

(6)Do they ask for your opinions over some family issues?

(7)If you have some problems or feel upset, will you choose to talk to your

parents?

6)做完调查后教师给同学们展示Pains of family, 即父母和孩子之间的问题,问问同学是否与父母有这些矛盾。

7)展示课件,让学生学习这些problems的英语表达。

8)给学生展示一个父母与孩子之间沟通困难的例子,让学生更生动的了解学习内容。Mom: We thought you were an adult, a person from whom we could expect

good decisions…

Dad: We thought you could act like an adult!

Daniel: Stop shouting at me. I’m still a teenager! Why is everything always

my fault?

 Daniel: They never even gave me a chance to explain. I hate them!

Don’t tell them anything. They didn’t trust me.

9)让学生做Brainstorming,

1. Do you sometimes quarrel with your

parents?

2. Why do arguments usually happen?

3. What are usually the problems with

parents?

10)将学生分组,做Group work。让学生一起演出成长的各种烦恼,调动课堂气氛。

make your parents feel unhappy?

2. What would you do if your behavior

upsets your parents?

Make a play with your partners.

11)给出一些理想中父母的特征,并让学生思考评论,并且添加自己认为该有的特征,了解学生心里,让学生与家长之间距离拉近。

kind, loving, humorous, strict, open-minded, fair, understanding,

patient, learned, helpful, forgiving

12)给一些与父母好好相处的建议,让学生讨论思考。

Help 13)布置作业。1. If the generation gap really exists,

how do you overcome the gap?

2. Write a note or two to your

parents from your deep heart.

14)介绍学生看一部关于本课学习的电影《成长的烦恼》 增强学生学习兴趣,在娱乐的同时复习学习的知识以及提高学生口语能力。
